Game 4: 2/18/25 FAU 6:30 PM 2-1 L (3-1)

35 runs is misleading when Niagara couldn't field multiple routine grounders and pop ups. We got 1 fluky HR and had a few timely hits but it was hardly a barrage. Pitching was fine though.
Idc how the runs came, you scored 35 in 3 games and couldn’t even score 3 runs yesterday which obviously would have been enough to win.

Not here to argue and understand what you mean. The closer these transfers are examined, the less surprising yesterday's display of "hitting" becomes. I was hopeful they had traits that someone like Fenster (assuming he recruited most of them before exiting) might appreciate but they didn't exactly set the world on fire at their previous stops.

Hudson- 40 RBI
Williams- 44 RBI
Marsh- 35 RBI
Galvin- 41 RBI (2023)
Ogden- 45 RBI
Smith- 19 RBI

I said prior to the season I thought this team could be the worst in my lifetime (I’m 45). Which sucks because I’ve tried to find a silver lining every year.

But I’m still going to try and wait until our 2nd Acc series before I confirm my fears or hopefully am proven wrong.

Princeton won’t tell us much as long as we win all 3. Unless we win 2 at UF I don’t think losing all 3 or winning just 1 tells us much there either. UConn will be a middle of the road Acc caliber series (should win 2) and then 1-2 acc series. That’s 9 games.

I have 11 graduates currently playing in college, including four P4 players. I know the current landscape of baseball, thank you.

No one said to fire him after one loss. We said don't hire him to begin with, because this is the kind of loss you will get. Big difference. And yes, the educated people wanted DiMare out because he was the de facto head coach when we blew the regional streak and then stumbled through his entire tenure without getting out of a regional. "He donated his salary" isn't a reason to keep a failed coach.

I'll turn it back on you. What is it about J.D. Arteaga that makes you think he can get us back to (1) automatic regional bids, (2) regular Super Regional appearances, and (3) occasional CWS berths? Show your work, and how he fits right in with the "current landscape".
There is literally people saying to fire him after 1 game. If we would have won 1-0 would the reactions be the same. The reason we lost is what Lance stated and I agree with him. Do i think he can get us there yes, I think a lot of coaches with the right talent can make it far.

4 games against Princeton. The two Saturday games will be key

Projections on the upcoming Princeton Series?
More than likely we are 8-1 heading into Gainesville. Princeton has not played this year, so while they will undoubtedly be better than niagara, they might have some rust to shake off. As @ErickMarreroU said, the saturday games are the most important, especially with Rob Evans getting going. I think he would’ve been in the game last night rather than Fernandez even though I think Mikey has a great future both this season and beyond

Because he never should have been hired by a serious university…

Welcome to expectations little guy

How do we expect to get better if we are in public bashing our coach. Perception is reality, parents of our recruits and future recruits see what are fans are saying

This is such bull ****, & I’m sick of this. This fan base is mild af compared to programs that actually give af about winning vs. continuing down a path of cronyism & nepotism.

U know what changes perception? STOP LOSING TO FAU & FIU MIDWEEK. I’m getting real sick of CIS fan boy schtick of “the fans r hurting the perception of the program; fans r hurting the player’s confidence” Bull ****. If they can’t handle criticism, then maybe they should stop playing sports. If this program can’t handle criticism, then get out the sports business or drop down to a level of ball that doesn’t require expectations. Simple.

So let’s recap 2024 v. 2025

2024: We started 3-0 playing NJIT (my 1st time even hearing about this school). We beat them 43-9, including 35-2 the last two games. Then we lost 4-3 midweek v. UCF.

2025: We started 3-0 playing Niagara. We beat them 35-3, & now we just lost 2-1 midweek v. FAU.

What’s changed? Who’s damaging what perception?

Its time to move on from JD, when you lose to the FAUs, UCF of the world its pretty evident The U has fallen of the world of elite baseball! If this were to happen in football, there would be banners flying at Hard Rock, Heat Arena, Hialeah Race Track, Babcock recreation…. This is embarassing especially with the talent in South FL!

Brother it doesn’t matter who the coach is. I will push propaganda to the recruits every day of the week. CNN and Fox News push propaganda 24/7 365.

Until everyone is aligned we will go no where.

Time to stop *****ing and complaining and to take some action
Sunshine pumping and basically lying to recruits/parents/coaches on social media about what they can see with their eyes (just like the rest of us) is disingenuous and ****ed up. It doesn't make you any better of a fan than anyone else, and really - once those people whom you're lying to know they're being lied to...you know what they'll think of you? They'll think you're a joke and tell everyone else not to trust a **** word that comes out of your mouth.

To boot - if that perception of you does happen (and it will), and people associate you with someone who speaks for/around the program, *THAT* hurts the program worse than us pointing out the truth of what anyone's eyes can see.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen you post. If this is your approach, you need to rethink it.

Brother what are you talking about…. I’m a fan…. I can careless if the parents think I’m lying or not. I care about theU and the letter M on the hat. I’m going to keep pushing propaganda or good info about Miami. Am I go to say that we couldn’t develop Alejandro “Pipo” Rosario? **** no😂 I’m going to say we were the only program to have three pitchers drafted in the first five rounds last year.

That’s the propaganda I push….

All 3 drafted in the 4th round, and other than Gage, I'd argue Rafe/Herick really developed under this staff *just like Pipo* - they got taken that high because MLB scouts see the potential and that they can buy/draft low on them, and get them there *just like Pipo*. People (the players/coaches/parents/etc) that you're hitting with that line aren't dummies. They know and can see what happened there...and that it wasn't anything JD and staff did to actually help them get to the 4th round.

Instead of selectively lying to folks like that on social media who can absolutely see through it, figure out other ways to help. Lying to a decent player and trying to get them to come to UM under JD and company is legit doing them a disservice. It's freaking slimy and cringe. If they're gullible enough to not look any deeper than "only team last year to have 3 pitchers in the first 5 rounds" spin you put on it then yeah - that's on them. But it's disingenous as ****, and you know it.

Just the fact that you say "I can care less if the parents think I'm lying or not" ought to disqualify you from speaking to any of them ever. I can't respect that on a personal level. Maybe you'll grow out of it, but I won't hold my breath either.
