I'm really liking his offspeed. While he hasn't been completely in control, that change up has gotten some guys fooled

It’s game 2 I get it. Called it a overreaction I accept it…. But when watching jd’s pre season presser he mentioned that cuvet had a bad fall at the plate…. You couple that with his subpar showing in summer league last year and I started asking myself if this would be the trend this year. I thought that was very telling and strange for a player with so much hype

Far too early but it’s not a good thing to hear “the best 3rd baseman in country” was bad at the plate in inter team scrimmages as well as summer ball. Not very impressive through 4 games thus far

I think the majority have been on fastballs as well, he's a tick late and very under the ball

Right, slumps happen but he isn’t even close to making contact right now. This is a big concern, need to get him right before conference play gets going

Cuvets eye level is all over the place. Last year he had a real simple approach. Pitcher in wind up, load and go. This year his head drops, he loads and then starts to stand up again.

He already had some holes in his swing that could be exposed at times but if he doesn’t clean it up he is going to have the soph slump i mentioned in a previous post. Get back to basics.
