You're not lying. Watch Vanderbilt play, which I bring up because they are another private school with lots of draft prospect talent.

They play the game very hard, they make smart decisions, and they execute at every part of the game. But they also play the game with an edge and are ****y and intense the whole way. No hits are relented. No extra base is conceded. If you even want one hit against them, you have to earn it.

I do not pretend to know why the difference is there for Miami, but it is certainly there in my opinion.
