I just don't get the 2 strike hitting. Morales has hit the ball to right field several times in the series with 2 strikes. I guess with a full count he was guessing he would get a cookie.

These guys are a joke man. The approach at the plate majority of the time is awful. Rarely ever make good solid contact. So many weak pops weak grounders shallow flyouts

In those type of plays at third base, it's almost always a head first slide because it's shorter throw for the catcher.

I’m with you 99% of the time on that play, but I’d much rather have 3 chances to score Vilar rather than worst case, which happened. With rain on the way and we just aren’t hitting well Idk. Also sliding head first when you steal bases is a given. Idk what Vilar was doing on that slide.

You see why we are average every single game. The players simply do not execute game winning plays in close games. When things are good and we are free and easy, we look like one of the very best teams in the country. But when you've gotta execute for 27 outs in a game, we lose the vast majority of the time and that play and the base running last inning is an illustration of why.
