That staff was Omaha. Offensively we probably would have had trouble in the post season...but still probably make it out of the regional then TBD. Van Belle, McMahon, Slade, Palmquist (FR), McFarlane (FR), Federman, etc. I think that staff would have been tough to mess up. If that year plays out and we make a Super or even Omaha I wonder if it could have changed things. Or we fizzle like most years and everyone sees that JD isnt the answer for our arms.

He was basically Drad's apprentice was under him at GT and Clemson.

Clemson's atheltic department actually runs where the AD makes the hires. Clemson people are ecstatic over the job Neff is doing.

Anyways my source came away from that conversation that Drad really only cares about football, and that he will make sure Miami football gets right, but other sports ehh.

If true, I’d be ok with that. That said, if you get football right it makes getting the rest of the dept together much, much easier.
 
Renzo, Dorian, Galvin, Marsh have no business trying to hit these starting LHPs for FSU.

Get some righty bats in there and maybe we can make contact now and then.

We’ll keep the next 2 games close and the story will be we’re playing gritty and are coming together as a team vs tough competition. We can really see it in the clubhouse.

100% agree. But that would require some forethought by JD. Arnold will make the lefties look silly. I like giving Puig a shot too. Dorian shouldn't even be playing at this point, give a youngster a shot.
 
Random prediction I hope is 100% wrong.

Alternating L/R tonight and giving Torres a spot start so he gets a feel for elite D1 LHP pitching.

Also probably be in a 3-1 game around the 5th, Hugus will have been through the line up twice and he will keep him in to load the bases or give up 2-3 runs. Then bring in Fischer to try and put out the fire.
