I have a close source that spoke with Graham Neff the other day. He is Clemson's AD who took over when Drad came to Miami.

He was basically Drad's apprentice was under him at GT and Clemson.

Clemson's atheltic department actually runs where the AD makes the hires. Clemson people are ecstatic over the job Neff is doing.

Anyways my source came away from that conversation that Drad really only cares about football, and that he will make sure Miami football gets right, but other sports ehh.

There should be no more defending JD. No more pretending we have an elite pitching staff. No more anything. He’s in over his head. Everyone knew it. Everyone knows it. No sugar coating it. With who we are, being a blue blood program, resources, etc., you could make the argument that this was the worst hire in the history of the ACC…any sport.

JD has to go ASAP.
 
We were fortunate to beat FAU; FAU gifted us a couple of runs on misplayed balls, misplayed balls that P4 programs would make

Beating brakes off of non-P4/G6 baseball teams is not a flex; but every season, a certain poster trying to defend this program’s direction will use this as a gage to pump fairy dust among us. Welp, now we’re 13-10, most likely will be 13-12 after this series, but hopefully 14-11 (just don’t get swept). Oh, & in case anyone is wondering, yes, we were 13-10 after 23 games last season, too. #impruvement

I’m tired of the fluff pieces to justify bull ****. JD should’ve NEVER been hired. If Gino was the common dominator of Miami’s precipitous slide, JD was even more responsible. **** has been here for 20 yrs! This team looks tiny, out of shape, w zero development to add.

MEANWHILE:
-Cyr is has become an all around hitter, w/ easily his highest BA of his career

-Jimenez looks night & day better at UCF

-Torres is having a career year at Bama

-Urso is white hot in Tampa (again)

-Carrier is having his best career season at Pitt

Like how did all these all dudes underwhelm here (except for Cyr pre injury), go elsewhere & r now looking like D1 borderline MLB draftable players?? That’s the state of this program.

I mean if the folks that drive the money for the baseball team really love UM they need to get their drinking buddy a lower tier job at say Columbus or something

This was a pathetic hiring for a program that has rich history and a proud tradition of being staples in Omaha

I don’t think most people defend him. I think my questions at least come from a place of people keep telling us that the athletic director doesn’t care about baseball or any other sport that’s not football. Soooo who would we entice that’s better than what we have now. I have a very simple formula for hiring coaches in major D1 college athletics. Hire to your standard in the traditional that program and hire to what you wanna be. Rad does neither like it’s obvious he needs to be fired, but I don’t know who we would get that has a résumé commiserate to what we deserve.

Didn't someone say the Cookie Monster guy is under the rail also? I saw a dude with a spread, was driving a white jeep with Jurassic Park on the doors, and he was doing a podcast out there. Is that him?
 
The 2020 team will always be a big what if.

We were 12-4...lost 3 to UF who was like 15-1 and #1 when the season was cancelled. (I think 2 of the 3 losses were in extras).

That staff was Omaha. Offensively we probably would have had trouble in the post season...but still probably make it out of the regional then TBD. Van Belle, McMahon, Slade, Palmquist (FR), McFarlane (FR), Federman, etc. I think that staff would have been tough to mess up. If that year plays out and we make a Super or even Omaha I wonder if it could have changed things. Or we fizzle like most years and everyone sees that JD isnt the answer for our arms.
