Funny note on Josh Jobe (who?)

Hopefully he never qualifies and can never play college football.

As much as I don't like what he did to us, I will never wish a kid bad luck. Many kids who make mistakes when they're young turn into good adults, I can only wish him well. That being said, the day he plays the Canes I hope he get's his *** rocked!

20 doesn’t make him an adult just like having babies don’t make men fathers...or even men for that matter.

Believe what you want but it’s rare that someone can’t score high enough for college on the ACT who doesn’t have developmental or learning disabilities/challenges. It is what it is. And I’m not going to disparage him for it. I can, however, and I believe rightly, criticize/question the adults in his life. Does that mean he gets a pass? Of course not. But with an unfortunate and seemingly growing segment of society that disavows education (from fairly lofty economic perches, I might add) how can we honestly expect there won’t be casualties?

And unless he has some heretofore unknown entrepreneurial skills that will make him an asset to society, I’m hoping that he gets a degree that he can use - while learning just how important education is.

I’m just not as emotionally triggered by his presence on earth as many of you so obviously are.

i'm torn between agreeing with you(with the caveat that once he makes it into Bama, he ends up costing them the championship game against us, not once, but twice)

&

joining the miami chorus in cheering for his premature downfall.

i'll make my decision via twitter June 6th at 8pm, when i'll also present two other additional options. no interviews. #respectTheDecision

He can't be too dumb. He pulled the wool over on us for what 3 years? He should have graduated HS 2 years ago minimum. How in the **** does he STILL need all those credits to qualify? Whatever the case, he **** on us and he'll pay one way or another.

Is FIU on the schedule at some point?

There's a big difference between having a learning disability and never being told to do your homework because everybody around you worships your football talent. As far as I know, nobody believes he has a learning problem, that's just what people think bama will say to try to get him in.

My point is that for most of these top recruits with grades issues it's not about smarts- they can pick up a playbook quick enough- it's about actually doing their classwork. Nobody tells them they need to do more than the bare minimum, so they do as little as possible. Some miscalculate and come up a little short, and that's where I suspect Jobe is.

He 100% has a learning disability.

I thought that was said months ago. There has to be a reason he is this age and still having that kind of work to do to graduate high school.

And FWIW, private schools like Cheshire Academy are NOT the place to be if you need any kind of special services. Who knows if he was ever evaluated properly - even back in public school. This stuff is usually a hot topic in public school because services cost money and require special faculty. The kid has probably just gotten by his whole life doing bare minimum and getting passed through...

The disability plus attention span plus not carrying plus parents not providing good info all contributed. Thing is Canes coaching staff cared for the kid and tried helping him along with education.

I’m glad there are a lot of people taking the high road. It means I don’t have to and I can say **** this kid and **** his ***** *** father too. Better find a way to hone some professional skills or some **** cuz your meal ticket just went up in flames from the fact you’re a Simple Jack. This is so satisfying On so many levels. I hope the Charger gets repossessed

Wow! The SALT is real!
I really don't wish him or any kid wanting to do him any ill will; but at the same time you gotta do things the right way and this kid flat out did NOT!

He left Columbus for his senior year cause he couldn’t qualify cause he was old as the hills

No, he was actually too old to play Football in Dade County. That's why he left for Connecticut. He made the decision to play his Sr. year over getting his grades on order.

Difference between having a learning disability and having astoundingly bad character and judgment.

There were "kids" drafted to the NFL younger than Jobe last month, and this **** for brains can't get out of high school.

Some people are just meant to be thrown off a cliff like the spartans back in the day.
