Will this help with Treon?
While he is looking sharp Pitt is helping him out. Reminds me a lot of Logan Thomas's game against us 2 yrs ago when he had an obscene completion % and everyone started talking about how great he was. Reality was he was just standing back playing catch with wide open, uncontested receivers. Winston is doing same tonight.

soft defense or not, 17/18 against anyone is pretty **** impressive. we need to hit him every play.

Gonna need to get that pass rush on this kid. He can obviously hit an open receiver. I would like some press coverage, with some pressure and see how it plays out. That said, this kid is doing some impressive things. If this was not FSU we would be talking about this nasty qb at so and so university. We shall see in a month or so.....

If my name was Treon I would be saying ruhroh. Be paying very close attention the next several games lest I find myself never playing qb (as if he were smh) at fswho.... One half but impressive, lets talk in 5 weeks but it could help.

Pitt is no Lions Den or anything, but its not an easy place for a road QB. I've been there tons of times and its always windy as **** and its actually pretty loud. The place was hopping pretty quick but he plowed right through it.
That said, Pitt is a joke and we should stomp them as well.
It has more to do with what we're watching from Pitt. They're letting a talented player do anything he wants. They aren't really trying to take away anything from him. The whole plan looks like they believed the press clippings.

Right. Which was my point, but he's still 17/18 and has moved around the pocket a bit. Pitt's DBs no doubt are making it easier for him. It's still his first game as a RS Frosh. So, giving him credit is appropriate. I'll wait to "crown" him until we've seen him in different situations. He's going to be good either way. It's a question of how big of a problem for us.

Solid logic. If a D plays like a deer in headlights the QB is bound to carve them up. **** how many terrible QBs have we made look this good over the last few years?

Nobody's crowning anybody or disparaging anyone.
I'm as much as a homer as anyone. Maybe more of a homer.
No matter my biases, only a blind man could not be impressed with this kid's 1st half.
Only incompletion was a deep out he threw on a line and missed by a toe.
I'm curious how his season develops and what kind of character he shows when people actually start covering his wr's or when someone jackhammers his ***.
We know what his ceiling looks like. Going to be interesting to see his floor.

Actually, if I'm Treon, this makes me feel even more comfortable. ****, if the kid keeps this pace up, he'll only play with Treon for one year. LOL
Its not windy tonight. It rained but thats long gone. Mild conditions. He looks composed besides when there is a delay of game penalty but Pitt looks like exactly what they are. They've been recruiting for Big East competition.

Miami and UF have the best DB's that Winston will see all season.
