Cue the Denny Green gif....... Pitt is not a world beater but they aren't trash either. This is the kid's first start and he has missed one pass because the guy stepped out of bounds, game recognize game give the boy his props.

Winston looks very good, but before we crown him, lets see what he does against a better back 7. Pitt is giving up way too much cushion and is passive back there. Darrelle Revis isn't walking through that door for the Panthers

But I'll say this, he already hits open recievers better than EJ Manuel ever did and he looks like he has better command, overall

Pitt looks like us last year just giving up 8-10 yard routes. Its horrible. You cant let a young qb just throw 10 yard routes while u play a soft *** zone. You have to make him make throws in tight windows. Completing all those short passes early gives him more confidence to make the big throws later. This looks like our defense against ND last year when we let that young qb get all comfy back there.
