MEGA Frenk Out - Who Next?

You are kidding yourself if you think the President is not involved in these conference realignment discussions as well. He needs to do it all, fix academics, fundraise and build a relationship with the other conferences. Shalala was a great fundraiser but she famously didnt care much for athletics which is why we have slid so far.
Presidents for sure get involved in athletics.

Like I’ve said many times before, the majority of our fan base only appears to follow Miami, doesn’t watch any other games, and has a terrible grasp on the CFB landscape generally

I think the consensus with every alum I’ve ever spoken to was Frenk is and has been a terrible president for the university. Rankings plummeted, the law school is as bad as it’s ever been or at least in recent memory, athletics are stale. He has been absent and defers most hard work and decisions to others below him for years now… including Echevarria.

The sentiment is that Covid saved his presidency and he would have been gone after his 5 year tenure if it wasn’t for Covid. I guess people saw him qualified to lead the university through the scamdemic because of his health administration background.

I’m shocked he’s taking a new job, that man is frail as ****. A slight breeze could push him over

This is as spot on as it gets. Without Covid, he was a goner. Was on the rocks big time pre-Covid. This is great news for the university as he was a terrible president and literally every aspect of the school worsened under his leadership.

Promote from within and Miami guys until the programs and school rot to the core

Whoa, whoa, whoa…

Joe was s the former head of Deloitte US. And is likely not “permanent”. And is taking over IMMEDIATELY. So…let’s pause on the judgment until we see who gets the job full-time.
