It took them 10 minutes to hire a Columbus mafia pal..
Or alternate theory they didn’t even let Julio finish out his term because they wanted him out and had an interim ready to go and Ucla just helped moved up the timeline

My choice would be the most qualified candidate from the Big Ten. Hire based on merit, but ideally someone that already has great connections in that conference.

I’ve been an adjunct for 12 years and I’m welcoming them w open arms lol. Maybe we can finally get a decent dean at the law school.
Abril is a rockstar as a leader and it would not shock me if the interim tag gets removed.

i have a hard time the faculty will accept a corporate type of leader, including joe and manny kadre
There's no problem with a corporate leader filling in on an interim basis in a situation like this. He has deep respect for the faculty and the academic mission of the institution. He knows how to lead people. But a permanent president needs to be a member of the faculty and it would be problematic otherwise.

That worked well for Harvard. Unless that faculty member is a dean, we'd be better suited looking for someone with leadership experience.

Shalala had been a chancellor at University of Wisconsin.
Foote had been the dean of a Washington University Law School.
Henry King Stanford was president of Birmingham-Southern College.
