Luke should not take these kids anywhere. He should just leave them all in miami so golden can pick and choose whoever he wants. And the kids who don't get scholarships us as fans can careless. Who cares about them bettering themselves or seeing different parts of country they otherwise would not be able to see. God forbid luke take these kids to where the best coaches are at.

Luke is damned if he does or doesn't with you guys. You guys tell him to shut up when he is lobbying the canes to offer scholarships to players (the Gaines corner from Louisville and others) then get mad when he takes players to get seen by other schools.

Going to Gainesville and Tallahassee isn't seeing other parts of the country. Take them to Washington DC, NYC, Chicago... thats other parts of the country

2nd some of these kids have never been out of dade county so yes Gainesville and Tallahassee is a big deal to them. But I can understand how you really don't care about the kids, just that UM gets who thy want.

The kids in south Florida already get all the exposure they need. We are sitting in the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country. Schools from all over the country flock HERE to look at prospects. Why go elsewhere?? They already come to us....

Also the top tier kids getting recruited are already going to get 5 free all expenses paid trips to anywhere they pretty much choose in the U.S.

Its called smoke in mirrors.... bring up a bunch of kids so they can "camp" but make sure you bring those 4* and 5* guys were recruiting too.

So because schools come here means they shouldn't get to go see the schools. What you fail to realize is these trips are for the guys who are close to being offered or just haven't been discovered yet. The top tier guys are helping there friends get to college, but I guess that's not okay with you.

It's not okay for Keith brown to try to get his brother a scholarship because he wasn't qualified in many eyes, but it's ok for golden to employ Doritos even tho he's clearly not qualified. The game works both ways.

Schools from all over the country come down to South Fla to recruit. How many times has a prospect been offered when a school came to look at another kid?? Go to any high school game in the south florida area and there is at least 1-2 scouts at minimum at every game.


My friend's son is being recruited right now. He played major D-1 ball. He will tell you all the secrets.... These camps are just a way to get the 4 and 5 star kids there.

BTW I have nothing against Keith Brown trying to get his brother a scholly.... I applaud it because I would do the same for my brother. John Franklin from South Plant landed at FSU primarily because of Alex Collins... nothing wrong with that

Keep in mind some of the kids that we take out on these college tours here at Miami Norland Senior High have never left their community for them to go and see a college campus it opens their eyes to education like no other. Not to mention in the case of some of our student athletes that miami does not offer a scholarship opportunity to Florida State does and other schools. The difference is Steve does not run his mouth ever chance he has to get attention and never ever trashes anything about THE U. If I remember correctly Steve took one kid to a bunch of schools because Steve wanted to work camps and he knew that kid was an elite player and could get him those premo camping gigs. It did also help the kid see schools his parents could not afford to take him to. Luke is taking his whole team to schools around the state getting everybody on the team exposure to high quality coaching. In my book Luke is doing more good than Walsh did

He is talking about Uncle Luke-like people. One of which Valentine was living with, another went to Arkansas with Collins, who not only lied to our staff, but his own mom.

Our staff needs to get the top players to come to Miami, but acting like these pimps don't play a role is foolish.
