Im pretty sure he has a job to do so I dont know whats the big fkin deal. I bet hes still a fan of UM, also people dumped the same **** about ice because of Mat Thomas n now look how dumb those guys look. So I guess most of our current players in the same boat because they have pics with Jimbo? Dude has brought some of the best players at UM when we were dogs, thats more than alot of people onh ere. I know every forum throws this **** around alot but we have so many clueless fans its crazy. Lukes guilty cuz of a pic and the whole UM is innocent with tons of pictures with Shapiro?

Sorry your feelings got hurt. I was in OB for the opening kickoff return on Dolphin history. I watched the greatest Dolphin QB of all time and it was not Dan. Three straight Super Bowls and two rings. That is how we keep score. Dan was about the greatest passer of all time but not QB. Bob's goals were 1st - win, 2nd - win, and 3rd - win; Dan wanted to throw TD passes 1st and 2nd and maybe even 3rd. Bob defined a perfect game as one in which he did not have to throw a pass. You could put a gun to Dan's head and he would NEVER say that. Remember, people had lot of excuses for poor ole Bobby too, but the truth is he was a choker who lost when he needed to win. Still, all praise and glory to Dan for beating the Bears and preserving our Perfect Season. He sure was exciting -- so was Neon Deon.
 
Please spare us "he has a job to do" or "he has a responsibility" nonsense. He's a HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT CORCH (and it's questionable how he's even that). If he somehow bought his way into a high school head corching job then you might be able to defend this. Nope, this is just Grandpa Luke being what he always was and will be- a phony attention ***** constantly looking for someone to validate his football worth. You clowns defending him are also probably the ones that congratulate every local kid with words like "Go get them $$$'s!" when they bolt out of here. F Grandpa Luke and F his apologists. The guy ain't a real Canes fan. Stick to optimist football, strip club promoting and buying your way onto high school corching staffs.

Luke is a High school coach, now (DC at Norland). He has a right to take kids to camps in the state. Some of those kids have prolly neva been outta Miami. ****, he was just @ the U last week working a camp. I know a lot of us cane fans don't like him, and some of the **** he's done, has justified those feelings. But I take this as a coach trying to look out for his kids. There are quite a few things u can call Luke. Attention *****....check! Glory hog, check! Bad rapper.... check! Idiot...sometimes when he opens his mouth, lol.
But his heart was in the right place.

U cant change a hateful persons mind, once they hate something they wont listen just like a terrorist. Great post but they wont listen to logic cuz there feelings r involved.
 
You guys let us know when Tallahassee Lincoln, Baton Rouge University Lab, and Hoover Alabama have assistant coaches busing their kids to the U en masse in their spare time.

Well that's a short-sighted view.

I understand why Miami fans would be ****ed but yes, all HS coaches should have the responsibility to get the players who have ability to play at the next level seen by as many coaches as possible...regardless of school. Fandom shouldn't play into kid's futures.

One of my HS coaches went to UGA and walk-on there. My senior year he drove me down to a UF camp because that's where I wanted to camp. And wore his UGA **** the entire time LOL. Point being, if coaches are really looking out for kids then they can't allow themselves to let hatred of rival teams cloud that view. I'm not sure why you guys think Miami coaches have an obligation to send all their players to UM. I get why you guys would prefer that, but its not at all realistic. What about the kids who have camped at UM and didn't receive an offer? The coaches shouldn't bus them anywhere else to try and pick up one?
 
And didn't Luke bring a ton of kids to camp at UM like a week ago? I also read he's been coaching and helping out at some of those same camps. So what's the beef?

Fsu is the defending champs and is getting coaches from all over bringing their kids there. When miami was on top coaches from the west coast was flocking to miami to see what they were doing right and exposing their kids to one of the best in cfb.

They weren't bringing boat loads of kids and collecting bogus fees, I don't think. I know you and your seminole buddies on the board don't mind, obviously. It's a shame that the adults in the Miami area don't have similar loyalty.

Spot on. Even worse are the people who defend scumbags like Uncle Puke. These guys are opportunists and nothing more. They have no loyalty. Unfortunately it's the game the UM coaches have to play, and win.

No offense, because I like you, but I don't give two ***** about what a Gator thinks about the situation. If Gainesviille put out tons of kids and their coaches were taking them to Miami and LSU and Florida State and Georgia every spring you guys would frame them for murder or worse. And pretending that this stuff is all on the up and up and just mentor-folks looking out for kids is incredibly naive. That's a general statement, not directed at anyone in particular or Luke.

We suck at football ***** why would they bus anyone here. I know you're in Texas or wherever but stop with the stupid talk. I bet you if we actually had a head coach we wouldn't be even talking about this thread.

I hear you, but that's why they don't get but a couple in school. Just like we get mad at Genron for posting immature stuff. Luke has a responsibility to the kids he coaches. At the end of the day it's our staff's job to get the kids in. One day in Tally versus most of the year in dade. I like our chances all day and on Sunday!!!

Do I want all the best players to come to UM? **** yes!
Do I think they all can, or will? Obviously not.
Is it most important for the kids, and in their best interest to see all of their available options? Of course it is.

I do not see a problem with this at all. I have no doubts in my mind that Uncle Luke, as a Cane fan, wants all the best players to play here too but has to do what is best for the kids and let them make their own decisions. As a parent, I would do the same with my kids.
 
Luke should not take these kids anywhere. He should just leave them all in miami so golden can pick and choose whoever he wants. And the kids who don't get scholarships us as fans can careless. Who cares about them bettering themselves or seeing different parts of country they otherwise would not be able to see. God forbid luke take these kids to where the best coaches are at.

Luke is damned if he does or doesn't with you guys. You guys tell him to shut up when he is lobbying the canes to offer scholarships to players (the Gaines corner from Louisville and others) then get mad when he takes players to get seen by other schools.
