Florida State Post Game Plus/Minus

wasn't a fan of the play calling on either side... not a fan of the slow developing run plays... and also hated the drop 8 and give jameis all day to survey the field. also, wtf is up with our blitzes they get picked up too easily.

Goudis' miss was a killer. I'm thinking we might need to start scrambling for a plan B for next year.

Biggest Plus was the corner play... Gunter is our best corner since Antrel Rolle. Morris had a couple of amazing throws. Crawford highlight on Tevin Smith.

Biggest Minuses (other than the injury to Duke)
still missing tackles
still slow at LB and safety
can't get the ball to anybody besides Hurns in the passing game
300+ avg line that can't run block against an athletic DL
don't run screens or use the middle of the field

Yep. He makes that and we are right there with them. Not just that, but if Golden has any confidence in him, maybe we wouldnt be trying to force so many 4th downs in the rezone and just take the 3 points and be patient.

Without Duke, the VT game will be a war. VT isn't good, but Duke is Duke. ****, this sucks on so many levels, the biggest being he's a great kid.

I wouldn't be surprised if we lose to VT even though I think they suck. If that happens, I wish I could fastforward through the rest of the season.

Im still curious as to how good the spanish kid who walked on is doing. Forgot his name. From Belen, maybe??

I liked his mechanics.

Free Tucker.

What is he going to do? he wasn't that good in HS. Watch his HLs and then look at his skill numbers, they don't match.

He can be a lead blocker for Mo Hagens on 4th and short. He's playing on the kickoff and punt teams so he's not redshirting.

I was thinking the other way around actually. Either way, it was a reference to the assistant coaches tongue-in-cheek plea to Golden let Tucker play because he was doing such a good job in practice.

And he wasn't that bad in high school. He has legit speed and size (we need size right now between the tackles) and RB is one of the easier transitions to make in college.

We just aren't on their level.

I'd like to think we aren't that far off, but we ain't there yet.

It doesn't help that we have been in dog fights all year long with barely bowl eligible teams (UF, Wake, Georgia Tech) and teams that won't make bowls (UNC). It is tough to get a read on how good Miami is because of it.

I'd like to think we are truly an improved team, but I can't shake the idea we are an 8-4 type of team that lucked into a soft schedule.
