First Scrimmage Thread - BOOM

Happy to see Duke, DP, and D. Crawford giving interviews. They, at least, most have successfully alluded the injury bug this scrimmage.

Show of hands, how many of those complaining about the SCRIMMAGE jerseys are overweight, unemployed and living in your mom's basement playing video games online while posting?

In not surprising Canes news ... I'm told that to this point, including scrimmage No. 1, Jake Heaps is on his way to the starting QB job.

Like I said from the get go -- if the comp is tight. go with Heaps. Much rather have an extra year with Kaaya

Typical ultra secret bs we're used to over the last decade. When you're good, you let the media and fans in. When you're not, this is what you get.

I wonder if Heaps is better than Ryan Williams. No disrespect to him but if so his injury could be a blessing in disguise

I would say we actually enjoy far more access to this program right now than at any point in the program's history, with the wealth of online content from camp that is put up and the # of reporters assigned to cover the day to day happenings. The scrimmage was probably closed off because they don't want some jackass making an iPhone video and putting it on YouTube and giving away some wrinkle they don't want Louisville to know about.

I'm of the mindset that Williams and Heaps are probably interchangeable. The sad thing is that Olsen isn't markedly better than Jake-Ryan Heapswilliams. Me thinks if he actually were that the suspension would have been more Bobby Bowden-esque.

So FSU is not good? Because with few exceptions, Jimbo treats his practice facility like Fort Knox. GTFO

I'm told #Canes QBs Heaps and Kaaya were more or less even in scrimmage No. 1, which aligns with what I've watched all camp.

Hmm...

This is true. I remember getting info on camp from a friend who drove down to CG to watch practice. This was when Kelly left, and we were worried about his replacement. I remember him saying, and he gets credit here, that Kosar was better and look like he will start, but Testaverde was really good too. And not to worry about the position. I was lucky to personally know someone who attended the practice. Someone not in S FL was out of luck.

While I'm rooting for Kaaya, more power to Heaps if he wins the job. With that said, Kaaya 100% starts next season.... no debate about that.

A true freshman is neck and neck with a fifth year senior...go with the freshman because the year of experience will only make him and the team better going forward.
