$$ - on a scale of 1 to FAP, how excited are you about Kaaya?

Every reporter is saying that it's a close race but you are the only one saying Kaaya is walking away with it. Sorry not buying that.

I am, hes not the only one, his OC said he acts like hes 30 and his ultra conservative HC said he has ZERO reservations playing him at Louisville

And Duke Johnson said that Heaps can read the defense better and Kaaya has trouble with it. So what is your point?

that quote was from like the 2nd practice in, I would start putting more weight on the recent stuff

In not surprising Canes news ... I'm told that to this point, including scrimmage No. 1, Jake Heaps is on his way to the starting QB job.

I am totally fine with Kaaya being the QB honestly I don't care who the Qb is but I am just not buying the Kaaya is walking away with this because one guy is saying it when no other reporter who has been at all the practices is saying. I will root for whoever they choose and would be more than happy for it to be Kaaya.
a This !!!!!

Heaps is a walking sack , kid takes sacks like there's no tomorrow his pocket awareness is awful

From freeman over wright. Morris gonna be a high draft pick to tebow gonna be a star in the nfl. I wanna believe D$ but that track record of qb evals is rough.

This. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Dmoney spent an entire summer from the UM parking garage talking about how great Kirby Freeman is playing.

The people that have been at practice say Heaps has been doing very well. That both QB's have performed very closely. However they are very wrong according to fans who haven't seen anything but a few vine videos. Heaps is doing worse than Kevin Olsen and Brady Kaaya just taught Payton Manning a new throwing technique.

Kaaya is my favorite but this stuff is crazy.

You guys are fooling yourselves if you think it's not going to be Heaps. Unless Kaaya is head and shoulders better we're not going into a nationally televised night road game with a true freshmen quarterback.

WHY? Because we might lose? If we start Heaps though, then we'll have a real shot at winning based on his past greatness? I don't get this argument at all. As if starting Heaps wipes away the nationally televised night road game atmosphere. When the offense takes the field, one of these guys has to ball, or we're getting embarrassed. I'm with D$ on this. If Kaaya is better, it's time to start his future 9/1... nationally televised or not.

I kinda feel how its going to play out. Heaps will start vs UL but will struggle immensely. Kaaya comes in after the half and leads the comeback victory. front page espn. Heisman hype begins.

You gonna change ur avi?
:kramer:

As long as Heaps and Kaaya are the only two qb's really competing for Louisville, the spin Golden is required to put out is that the two are neck and neck. He can't just say Heaps looks like Kaaya's little brother as long as there is a single reservation about Kaaya. Keep Kaaya working and settling in; Heaps is his training wheels. Get him through camp confident and competitive then take the wheels off for Louisville. Thanks for being the rabbit, Heaps.

I don't care who plays as long as we win. Also if anyone is going to get Heisman hype it'll be Duke.

I honestly don't care who starts at QB. The season rides on whether or not the Defense will be a complete clusterf*ck or not.

Brad Kaaya is better than Jake Heaps. Right now. By a lot. He is more accurate, takes less sacks, throws half as many picks, has better movement in the pocket, has better movement outside the pocket, has more arm strength, can see over the line, and makes more throws.

If Brad Kaaya doesn't start, I will be surprised and quite frankly disturbed. This is not based on Vine videos or reporter tweets. That's all I will say about that.

Thank you and exactly what I been feeling. Bring on Kaaya!

This. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Dmoney spent an entire summer from the UM parking garage talking about how great Kirby Freeman is playing.

I said Freeman was playing great in practice because he was playing great in practice. Who won the job? I never said Freeman would be a great player, just stated the fact that he was beating Wright out on Greentree.

As for Morris, I thought he was ready to take the next step after spring. So did our coaches. So did a lot of people who get paid for this. The moral of the story is that you never know how practice performance will translate to games. But that's all we have to go on when it comes to Heaps and Kaaya.

D money isnt the only one saying it. Ryan bartow i think he works for 247 said kaaya looked much more impressive than ALL the qbs.

If Kaaya is head and shoulders above Heaps (something apparently missed by every single media member that has been watching) then he will start and that is that.

Kaaya threw the 30 yard pass to duke down the middle saw jake heaps get 3 balls batted down , d jack is a beast of the edge kid is gonna swat a lot of passes in his career also saw fentress (I think) line up right of dp , didn't see much only about 25 mins and god is our field goal kicking awful lol #18 which is believe is goudis freaking was kicking em like 10 yards short no lie

UM’s defense deflected seven passes (four at the line of scrimmage) and produced six tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions — UM’s report did not name the offending quarterbacks — and a forced fumble.
