I think UCLA will be a prime example of this. I hate to do this but, with Bunche being named their starting LT, I have my doubts about how successful they will be protecting their QB. I wish Bunche all the best(especially since it won't affect the canes) but he wasn't exactly the most fleet of foot LT I have ever seen. Maybe he has put it all together, in that case good for him.

I'm down but forget the parking lot. I want the visiting teams locker room named after me so every team that comes to Miami will know who helped pay for that *** beat.

a fluke in what way? alabama was healthy with all their starters and were trying to win, i didnt witness any rare trickplays or unusual turnovers, looks like they beat them straight up to me, dont fall for the sec brainwashing on espn.

All pre game all I heard was how that Bama team was fired up and felt that they were still the best team in the country and were gonna prove it. Plus they still remembered Stoop's comments about the SEC in the summer. After the loss, that was when the disinterested comment nonsense began......

Agree. Once they lost, then Saban said they were not into the game. What a crock. Anyine can use that lame *** excuse. My 4 in the playoff are Oklahoma, FSU, Bama/Auburn winner, and the other is a toss up, OSU, MSU, oregon.
 
We weren't ranked last year... and we made it as high as 6th. I'm not worried... we will be back in the mix... we beat Louisville and Nebraska and we are in the top 15. By the time the season is done we will be in the top 10 and a bowl game.

I find it funny that we complain about teams like UNC, Ole Miss or whoever else being overrated, but going into Golden's fourth year at Miami we haven't shown enough to even get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to these rankings.

UNC and Ole Miss must've shown some level of talent and competent coaching that media and coaches rank them while we're barely scratching a top 35 ranking. It's pathetic and an indictment on the this staff.
 
It's pretty unfair to expect a school who has won five national titles and sits on the most fertile recruiting ground on this entire planet to start the season ranked ahead of Marshall. Some of you have your expectations wildly out of kilter.
 
I really don't get what UNC showed last year to warrant that. I mean we didn't close the season out as well as they did, but that is because the best player on our team got hurt. ****, Duke was out the 4th quarter of the UNC game too from what I remember. I just don't see how a team we beat last year without our best player and during our senior QBs worst game is that much ahead of us. I mean we did lose our starting QB but our Defense can't be worse, and our QB play should probably be about the same as last year, because Morris really struggled.

We do have a tough schedule though, but not too bad, just a bunch or good teams and 1 great team. Washington or UCLA problem have the hardest schedules in nation

glad we beat that team with "better talent and coaches" last year in their house, w/out our best player.

We actually shocked the world big time in '83. Not only because of what we did coming out of nowhere, but in beating a college team that everybody thought was the best college team of all time, could play with NFL teams, and was unbeatable.

And we beat them. I think Howard Schnellenberger knew we would beat them. He saw through Nebraska.
 
Don't worry guys, 4 more years and we can maybe just maybe start the seasons ranked.
