His best friend and main recruiter are at Tennesee. And honestly, the defensive coaching is probably better at Tennessee, especially his position coach. Given all that, I can certainly understand the kids decision

I call bullshyt. The kid had all of this time to figure it out. It's clear by his Twitter statements about Richt having offered his BFF while at Geogia but not at Miami that this was a revenge plot to stick it in Miami's face.

Anyone with a modicum of decency, character and integrity would have told our staff days ago that his heart wasn't here. He intentionally trolled us and maliciously lied and hurt many of the people that he built relationships with, including other recruits, their families, etc..

It's the kid's life, he can choose to go to school wherever he wants. Sucks that he didn't pick to come here, but so be it. No point in being jilted and butt hurt over it.

He's not the only CB we missed on this cycle. Maybe the problem isn't the teenage boy...maybe it's the adults in charge at Mismi who need to do a better job making Miami an attractive choice for recruits

It's absolutely his life and his choice.
What's objectionable is how he handled the situation.
If he was a man about it and did it correctly he would have decommited weeks ago when this all started.
That has nothing to do with the quality of coaches at UM vs ut. Shows more about his quality as a man.

That may be so, but a teenage boy who doesn't understand the concept of commitment isn't exactly earth shattering. I'd say it's pretty normal.

Kid will grow up in his own time. Meanwhile, just my opinion but he is the one who has to live with his decision, not us.

Nothing to do with understanding the concept of commitment or not.
It has to do with maliciously lying to UM in a ploy to intentionally hurt UM with his buddy.
But as you say he has to live with his choices.

Dude, let it go. He was promoted to DC and fired for being a bad DC. Never been fired as a defensive backs coach.

If you want to believe that sending a kid to play for Rumph and Banda is the best coaching option for them, believe what you want. I'm just stating my opinion on the sunject

I really could care less why he did what he did, it is his decision because it is his life! The way he did it is where I have a problem, he knew he wasn't coming here a long time ago but played the game until the end and cost UM the chance to at least try to get someone else to take his spot!

Fair enough. I don't know the kid's mind. I'm just stating my own opinion is all. I respect that others will disagree and that's cool
 
You said in another post how we have expectations that are really out of touch with the talent we can get but think about it this way, because of how this kid did what he did, we probably lost out on that hungry 3* that could of helped us win the Coastal, a Bowl game and maybe the ACC!!!!

I'm not one to criticize what an athlete decides but to string UM out until the end is classless. I wonder what Kramer, his HS coach thinks about such a no class move? Definitely not Kramer's style. If that's the kind of kid he is he's better off with UT where he won't have to show up for class. It always amazes me how some athletes cling to a coach who formerly recruited them...it's not like Scott will be coaching him when he gets there. What goes around comes around.
 
Who gives a flying f*ck about Tennessee anymore go back to their board, it's over. They think they won that's fine you beat us out for a recruit have fun with that one. There is no such thing as a commitment anymore with some kids and that's worrisome. You're a man first and foremost Tyler Byrd the very least you could've done was tell the staff two days ago, but being a little b*tch seems to be better in today's day and age so I say F*ck him. That's it it's over now troll go back to rocky top and banging your sister wife while singing the south will rise again. Now that that rant is over hopefully the staff has Shyheim Carter in the fold. Who knows we will find out in a couple hours

Seen this story way too many times. Unfortunately for him, he's made a life changing mistake and will fizzle out at UT.

The "doing what's best for my family" always kills me. Better right now with a duffle bag of cash but when he fizzles out and realizes his NFL dreams are not within reach he'll always have to live with the regret.
