Final Four vs. UCONN - 4/1 8:49pm EDT on CBS

We may very well lose but I assure you that this team will not get run off the court. There was only one game during the entire regular season that we lost by a decisive margin and that was against Maryland when our guys were still settling into their new roles. I like our chances as the underdog

Casey needs to play well also. He needs to eat up some minutes against Sanogo and Clingan. Maybe they put Walker on Karaban. I could see Walker being too athletic for him.

“Just somehow the better team(us) loses the game to Miami.”

I get tired of bandwagons like you clomping onto whatever sport your favorite university sucks at and being a hangers on. Frankly, Its not like we'll miss you. Surprised you aren't a huge Duke basketball fan and have a poster of Christian Laettner above your bed.

Hint: you aren't really a canes fan, you are a UCONN fan who only watches Miami football because UCONN sucks at it.

I generally like when we get to see traditional big men. their guys will get their points and it's entirely possible that's just too much for us, but L knows how to attack bigs on the other end. can their bigs play as high up the floor as Texas' bigs did? if they hang back at all our shooters will have air space. I'd love to see us put their bigs in pick and roll as much as possible.

I'll be interested to see if we try going small (Miller at center) at any point, it was the catalyst of our comeback vs Texas and having a shooting threat at the 5 is why we were able to make one of the best young centers in the NBA (Walker Kessler) look like he didn't belong on the floor last year. but L has not really gone small this tournament w/ the exception of the one stretch yesterday.
 
My daughter is a Seton Hall alum so I've watched a lot of Big East BBall since 2014. UConn is currently playing very well but they have those nights when they're off. They haven't played a team with our offensive firepower since Marquette in the Big East tournament. Gonzaga game was weird in that there were some fouls on Timme early on that really limited their gameplan.

I’ve got mad respect for the huskies, very impressive team. That being said we have a team that can give them a loss! I’m going into this game with the mindset we will win. I don’t want to hear any talk about we made the final 4 rah, rah, rah. This team has will & is hungry. Nothing but the Natty will suffice. Can you imagine our baseball team saying….wow lsu won but we played in the college world series or our football team saying **** pedo st beat us but we played in the MNC (not even using the suckeyes)! Big keys from what I can see so far will be defensive intensity, 3pt shooting, staying in our game, not getting way behind in the first half, keeping Omier out of early foul trouble, & scoring 75+. It would be a huge boost if we got a surprise from Joseph & or Beverly. I’m not afraid of this game and I’m sure the team isn’t! The huskies lost in the semifinals of their conference tournament just like we did! Let’s win 2 more and add the trophy to our case!!! GO CANES!!!!!!

pride and joy of UM athletics in the last 13 years. so many of many peoples most recent cane memories have come through the hoops squad. from alleyoops w bron and wade in the stands to slapping the floor against duke to the angel buzzer beater at UF to now b2b elite 8s and a final four berth.
 
Styles make fights. I promise you Uconn hasn’t seen a team like UM. It’s a very awkward matchup for most programs. Space , tempo with four true ball handlers / shooters is a lot to prepare for. Thats not even discussing the defense, it creates turnovers and tempo.

the national title is there for us. we have absolutely proven ourselves. we have the best win of the tournament. we didnt get lucky w upsets easing the road. we went through chalk and talented teams to get here.

Marquette gave them fits and their style is pretty similar. They don't have a Swiss Army knife like J. Miller.

Not a bad list. Also Pack and Wong will be the best guard combo we’ve faced this year maybe. But Gonzaga was the number 1 offense in the country…..and yeah. Hurley is elite at focusing on the “guy” and taking him out the game. With the hard hedge I think we’ll try to force the “other guys” to beat us.

I have degrees from both UCONN & Miami. I discovered Husky basketball while living for years in CT. The way the entire state backs the team is amazing. I remember the Cliff Robinson team that started it and the 99 team that beat Duke in the final. I have always routed for Miami in football and the huskies in basketball. Whenever Miami was doing well in basketball It would make me smile. Never in a million years would I believe I would see both in the final four. In fact I thought it would have been in football in some bowl game. In all honesty I am legit torn, so I’m gonna cop out and say may the best team win.
