Fernando Mendoza

my only hesitation is how do we take a qb that lost to FSU this year
FSU only won 1 game all year against a non fcs opponent
and the qb for that game was Mendoza
tough to look past that
He had a solid game against FSU, over 300 yds, high completion percentage, only one INT but no TDs. He wasn't even close to being the reason they lost. If their kicker kicked with even average high school level of skill in that game they would have won

@Udynasty what did I text you when you sent me that rusty post this AM on Indiana , Georgia and no Miami interest “

At least Inday is a nice guy

It’s always been talk about IU and UGA so that’s not earth shattering news at all
He was wrong though. I’ve been saying on here for a week that just because there’s no smoke or stories doesn’t mean there’s not communication. Everyone knew the deal with number one on our qb board. Other than that a lot has went on behind the scenes that nobody hears. The talk of Mario sitting around eating his boogers with no options isn’t true. There’s a reason Mendoza hasn’t committed yet. He hasn’t been the only option but he’s definitely an option , a realistic one .

The defense that gave up 14 points and less than 300 yards?………..
That should have been the kicker and rest of the team didn't. I'm so used to our defense being the point of let down that I almost automatically type that! Bottom line, though, is the loss to FSU was not on Mendoza

The Miami not being in the mix part then..

Fair enough

Guess we all will see soon

Did Cam Ward throw a touchdown against FSU? Did we not settle for field goals as the field got shorter?

Why are we nitpicking here, he clearly improves the room

There's a pretty big info tidbit on Mendoza that hasn't been shared with the board and media hasn't gotten wind of (or at least hasn't reported on).

Dmoney can have the honors when the time is right.
His mom’s illness?

Not sharing private info but it was posted on this Board a few days ago.

Look, I agree the loss wasn’t on Mendoza. But the reality is we’re sitting here talking about the kicker letting them down by not being able to get their point total from 9 to 15 lol. Leading into this season we were all excited because we finally had a qb that could move around and how much that would help us in the red zone. Part of my concern with Mendoza is we’re right back to that being a problem.

And I swear to god if someone says “He had runs of ___!” as if that is the same as being able to make things happen in a condensed field.

The article I saw by Rusty said Miami wasn’t interested. Which isn’t true either. They have interest and if / when he got it he’d be in. He’s waited this long for a reason . If he got ok it would be over immediately.
