Dawson offense will require him to swim on his own and he will drown. I would rather get someone like mendoza and upgrade his surroundings than get someone like ewers and downgrade the surroundings and ask him to play in our offense. Both are mid but i much rather someone who held their own at cal a worse situation than someone who is more mid in one of the best situations

This is just a bad take.

Dawson had Miami as a top 25 offense with TVD being color blind.

If you have watched games and don't think Ewers is light years better than a broken TVD I don't know what to tell you.

I think Mateer is better but what I didn't take into account until now is I looked at his schedule I forgot that he played a G5 and not a P4 schedule like Cam did the previous year. While still impressive we still have to see if it translates especially now with where he is going and the help he won't have against good defensive fronts.
 
It's often overlooked but how good was Cam Ward for Emory's development. Cam seems like a film junkie and I find it hard to believe that TVD took Emory under his wing for film study if TVD was a film junkie at all.. maybe the staff has seen a massive progression from Emory from being under Cam. I hope whatever qb we get is a film junkie and smart enough to understand the coverage breakdowns and route concepts. I hope they also have a business mindset to take advantage for their career and bring young Nickel up to speed as a field general. Even if we lose a few games we may win big later.

What did you expect from a 53 old soccer coach? He won the UEFA Europa League 4 times with Sevilla, did well with PSG but flamed at ****nal.

He also put Aston Villa in the Champions League which it is HUGE for them. Very good coach indeed.

We have to have someone better set up because there is no way Mario is going into game one against Notre Dame with Emery as the quarterback. So I’ll take this as good news that we have someone better than Mendoza ready to commit when his playoff run ends. That’s the only way I can make sense of not getting Mendoza.
