Feldman on Miami & Golden

5, 7, 9....

Recruiting classes ranked #1, #8 and #13.

Yeah, we seem to be headed in the wrong direction. You guys can't see Shannon has us on an upward trajectory

- the same uneducated fans in 2010

You'd be hard-pressed to find a coach who is as bad as Golden when it comes to preparation, gameday management, and performance against good teams. This is his farewell tour.

You figure idiots would've learned to dig deeper into the statistics after they showed their *** with the Shannon support. Golden gets his *** kicked by every decent team he faces. He has nowhere to hide with this year's schedule. The nightmare will be over by this time next season.

First three seasons:

Shannon:
21-17
Avg Schedule strength: 24
Espn avg class rank: 7

Golden:
22-15
Avg Schedule strength: 53
Espn avg class rank: 10

Golden has a bunch of dudes in love because he was well-spoken at his presser. He's formal Randy Shannon.

Yeah, he's got a lifetime pass and is unfireable. Probably earned all this leeway due to his impressive on-the-field performances.

Golden like Shannon will have to prove that he can take the next step in his 4th year. We have enough offensive weapons and a capable OL to support a 5th year senior QB

We also have enough talent on defense to win 10 games and the coastal.

Randy flopped in year 4 and deserved to get what he got.

Golden is in the same position. But honestly if Golden goes 9-4 every year I don't even know if hed be on the hot seat

I'm expecting a nosedive of huge proportions...

New QB having to win shoot out games cause our joke of a D lets teams score at will

I've always supported golden but the results on the field have to get better and quick. I don't think this year will be great but year 5 must be a huge step. If not then on to the next one.

After the UL game.. The heat will be on. If you can't turn it around by year 4: see ya. We have been consistently inconsistent. Under Fisch and Coley we have ZERO identity. Under Donofrio/Golden our defense has ZERO identity. What we see is 2 Gap Bail cover 3/quarter<---- I just made that up.

It's a shame bc every CANE fan including myself wanted AG to succeed here. At the end of the day no coach or player is bigger then THE U! We gave him his time and we have zero results thus far. If you don't cut the mustard, goodbye.

ACCCGOGTFOH !!!!

JHall I like you guy... remind me of my brother.. level headed and optimistic, but I do not have any hope for Golden going forward. We need him for stability ...but going forward he's not innovative enough. Too robotic and those type of people who are afraid of change will always falter. NOT IF, but when.

listen, the sanctions hurt a lot but the honeymoon is over. the psu drama soured a lot of people on him. he doesn't win big this year and butch davis is still around, you know what the fans want.

He's learning on the job. Sadly it was something I expected but I didn't think he would be so ridiculously stubborn about change. He seemed like a guy that was intelligent and willing to make moves. I understand the stability argument, and it's valid in some cases, but he has done exactly what many of us feared he would when things were looking up, he tied his future to his best friend, to the detriment of the program.

So when does Glazier receive credit for actually shepharding us through the cloud?

So facking sick of hearing how Golden shepherded us through.

I've never heard Coach L get any credit either or use the cloud excuse for that matter. Why not?

Because Coach L is a real man who actually overcomes adversity, instead of complaining whilst using it for a bigger contract. In other words, Coach L is a winner.

3 years is enough to gauge the direction we're headed. If you can't see that, you should probably let me borrow some money. I'll pay you back.

6,7,9.....
with recruiting classes getting successively better each year.
Yeah, we seem to be headed in the wrong direction.

A 3 year scale showing "trend-up" of wins is a complete oversimplification, and belies the multitude of problems our program is facing.

You can choose to ignore them, but season win totals from 6, to 7, to 9 don't explain the putrid defensive statistics, difficulty beating marginal conference foes we should dominate, or ugly loses to ranked teams.

What happens when that win total stagnates, or begins the same migration, backwards? Is that what it'll take for you to acknowledge this program is on the wrong track?

This years recruiting class may not have any impact until 2015 at the earliest (and that's if they can actually be coached-up to be effective on the field).

If your defense of the programs improvement can be supported by a gradual uptick in wins over 3 years, then wouldn't it be fair to analyze a stock of a company, and justify an increase in dividend based soley on the fact they "produced" more product? That would completely ignore profitability, overhead, market rank, innovation, supply chain management, liabilities, growth forecasts & outlook, not to mention THE COMPETITION--

That's a key determinant. If your competition is outpacing you, YOU have a problem. We're being outpaced.

Not sure what you're trying prove with this comparison except that you're incapable of thinking in abstract and can only digest information on a concrete basis. Typical analysis of a low level thinker.
Looking deeper into that comparison unveils a coach who came in at a disadvantage compared to his predecessor since he didn't know players the players he inherited, unlike Shannon who knew what he was inheriting. Did'n't have the recruiting contacts and relationships built.
Had the disadvantage of a major scandal the would rock the program for 3 critical years blow up in his face 2 weeks before his 1st game.
Had to deal with uncertainty, suspensions, that the NCAA investigations brought and not to mention the negative recruiting that ensued.
Had to deal with the ongoing investigations of his players and resulting low player moral when it was revealed that school would self impose 2 bowl bans. Had to deal with the not getting the benefit of the extra practice time and experience younger players would have gotten had they not self imposed the said bowl bans while his main acc competition did.
Mind you the above Shannon did not have to deal with and yet Golden has a better overall record and can be argued that has pulled better classes.
So no, he's not a formal Randy. THINK beyond what's in front of your face.
