Feedback on 3 Stars?

It's also still early. Those ratings will change... Richt has been a good evaluator and you have to jump on these kids early enough to build that relationship

I really don't know who will end up being 4 stars but point being that what the coaches are seeing in a lot of these current 3 stars, other big time programs are seeing too. I trust our coaches know talent when they see it and apparently others in the biz agree with their assessment.
I can see why some will be sort of pessimistic(with this class at least, very happy with 2018 and 2020). We just got work to dothat’s all. Should be an interesting finish

I'll put it like this, word of mouth is great but seeing is believing for most. Many wont admit that they're not completely sold on the staff, continuous questioning of the their takes tells it all. Hearing great things about kids from high school coaches, "insiders", friends/family may suffice some but also may not mean as much to others.

Personally, I'd rather hear how our 3* are dominating camps and getting invites to national games at the end of the year rather than just *insert congratulatory statements*

I am a huge fan of CMR and the amazing impact he has had since he arrived... with that said, feels like this class in a little heavy on 3 stars

Wanted to get thoughts from those of you that are a little (or a lot) more up to speed on the talent we are signing ?

Thanks in advance and Go Canes
God shut up

Incredible smh you have kids who show out at our camp in front of coaches and other great talents and no the uniforms didn't have any stars or opinion it had players one on one showing out and yes some 3* kids balled and yes we have many stars now that are 3* players and STILL the *****ing here can't stop because thhe focus is on bull**** opinions that will change many times before NSD. **** amazes me

Stars matter but the coaches still have to develop them. Give it time. Trust the process. Richt has a long term plan.

As someone who only really got into recruiting around 2016 and as a fact I don't watch much film or live in the country I tend to see myself base my evaluations off of stars. However I trust the staff and whoever they want i'm on board with.

You get some ******* who fires off a bull**** thread like this and then disappears, and you guys take the bait and entertain it.

Troll Tactic 101 is lob a controversial thread over the fence, run back to your house and laugh at the carnage that ensues.

It’s clear some of you guys have never played football a day in your lives. There are 3 stars and then there are 3 stars. Some have potential through the roof and just need that Senior season to put it all together. And others are just downright jags who are overrated, should be 2 stars and are simply not a fit for our program. A good coach knows the difference.

So if you think the overrated 3 Star jag from Ohio is the same as an underrated 3 Star diamond in the rough from FL/GA who just needs a Senior season to put it all toegether then you need to step away from recruiting.

The OP is not a troll. You don’t need to be insulting to make your point. All a fan can do is speculate. There may be a handful of people on this board who actually have real knowledge. You may be one. Who knows but don’t compromise whatever good info you have degrading another poster.

You guys get upset when the staff can’t identify talent early and let them get picked up by other schools. But then we only want 4-5 stars in July... the two don’t correlate.

The lack of understanding of basic ******* math always astounds me. "But what about this one player that panned out?" Have none of you heard of anecdotal evidence?? You can't look at singular examples that fit your agenda. You have to look at the average result. On average, 3 stars are much less likely to be draft worthy than 4 stars.

We've had years of mediocrity and classes full of 3 stars. None of you see the coincidence.

And our 08 class was only #1 because we took 32 ******* players. 16 were 4 stars or higher. I believe we had 16 or 17 this past class.

Is it already the day after signing day? If not, then you might want to wrap yourself in a warm towel to stop the uncontrollable shivering. You have no idea what this class will be in December/February.

On top of that, all you facwuits rave about a guy like Crowley and now you’re crying about signing 3 stars. Either he’s a great prospect or he isn’t. Looks dynamite to me.

Stars are a baseline but this staff won’t offer a 3 star unless they’ve seen him compete live and just as important is he a fit in the Miami locker room. If those boxes are checked then coaches have to evaluate the ceiling of a kid after proper development. I will say maybe half of the 3 stars we have will be 4 star players by the end of their Sr year.
