F*cking Olivier Vernon

We are in this mess because of several transgressions, his being at the top of the list, and he has the balls to pass judgment? Kid deserves to learn a few more hard lessons.

Forget that Vernon is one of the reasons we are in this mess....He didn't exactly have the school's back when he left after his junior year, just saying. He was looking out for himself, and so he can k!ss my ***.

Some of you fans like 88 make me laugh literally. Having never played a down of football you don't know what these young men are thinking of.

I will side with Larry on this not going to discuss it, but I believe there is still a human element to all of this.

I played football and still think Vernon is a Biotch. This program is in this mess because of punks like him and then he runs his mouth? Like I said, shut your focking mouth Vernon.

What is the big deal in what he said?

The school doesn't have the players back cuz they banned another bowl game.. Did you not read it?? Pretty clear we're in this mess because of players like him.. Pretty selfish in my book used to be a fan of Olivier but **** him now.. Guy isnt very bright..

To be fair, Vernon paid back his benefits and was suspended and paid the piper for his piece in this pie.

Yes, he did...then he bolted for the NFL prematurely. He's not exactly an authority on having someone's back, particularly as applied to this situation.

Lulz and negged.

While he is probably not the guy to be saying much, considering his role in this whole spiel...but what he says, isn't exactly wrong.

And how many players would come out ****ing next year if we had to sit out then b/c we didnt take it this year and are (theoretically) better? And like you said, of all former players, he should know to keep his mouth shut. ****, he should be apologizing to the team for playing a role in them having to take another ban.

I've said it a few times, I just think the human element is missing in all of the discussion on this. It is easy for us as fans to say "well, we needed to do this!" but, the situation is pretty ****ed up for the players that are here regardless. They are making sacrifices for the a school that isn't sacrificing for them. And, unlike USC or Penn State, these kids really don't have a choice without penalty to themselves. We've self-imposed post-season bans for two seasons late in each season, after games were already played and kids were working toward a goal.

I've said before, I understand what the University is doing, and everyone else is quick to be all about these post-season bans, but the end result is pretty ****ed up for the players.

Honest question my man. Would you rather us play the season out, POSSIBLY play in the ACCCG, and then POSSIBLY play in the Orange Bowl? Seems like we would be only prolonging the agony, and giving future recruits a reason to steer clear. Seems like a silly arguement.

There isn't a right answer. But, I'm not the biggest fan of how the kids that are here right now have no choice in the matter and are ultimately being punished for something they had nothing to do with.

I agree with you, but that's the way these punishments are levied. They rarely apply consequences to the guilty, which sucks.

As for the kids having a choice, I don't see an effective way to bring their collective opinions into the equation. These are decisions that have to be made in a far broader context than the VAST majority of these young men will grasp given their closeness to the situation and point of view. Last time I can think of the players having a major impact on a choice the program made...the U hired Coker. Not a great track record of player's opinion leading to good decisions.

Larry been in full troll mode since the bowl ban
:fistbump:

I mean, have you read some of the **** people have written that hasn't been troll-mode? Oy vey.

Larry, your frustrations with the board are understandable, but you were the first person to respond to this post and maybe I am thinking too much of myself, but I don't think my original post was terrible. Granted, there are some posts in here that are probably not trolling that are terrible, but your post planted the seed to lead us down that path.

Wonder what former Ohio St players saying? "The administration let us down last year with their inability to have any foresight."

But that would apply to the kids next year, and would include even more wh were not even here when the violations occurred.

I'm quite sure they're thinking the same thing the guys next year would be thinking had we not taken the ban. In fact, it's very similar to what the current osu players are thinking.
