F*cking Olivier Vernon

What is the big deal in what he said?

The school doesn't have the players back cuz they banned another bowl game.. Did you not read it?? Pretty clear we're in this mess because of players like him.. Pretty selfish in my book used to be a fan of Olivier but **** him now.. Guy isnt very bright..

To be fair, Vernon paid back his benefits and was suspended and paid the piper for his piece in this pie.

Seriously? He paid them back? Now it's even stevens? Please. Him paying it back does nothing for the program. If they didn't get caught, would he have paid it back? **** no. Another one of the reasons Shapiro is all butthurt. In a perfect world, your statement would be valid, but this is the NCAA's world and The U aint even a squirell. We aint gonna get a nut and Vernon is partly to blame. It was all whatever for me since he's a Dolphin but now he has to run his mouth. He needs to STFU and if they ever have the Fins on Sunday Night Football he should be one of those guys who says their middle school in the intros.

I feel confident in saying that Olivier Vernon is the type of guy you ask what he thinks...

...and then do the opposite.

It's the NCAA doing this to the kids, not the school.

this is important to remember indeed. but vernon is partially to blame and the only thing he should be saying about the situation is I'm sorry for the damage I've caused and wishing the best for his teammates. otherwise he can shut his ***** mouth up

Yet after his tenure at Miami the school is suffering because of his and a few others decisions.

No player is bigger than the program and that REALLY includes one who had to sit a 6 game suspension. His opinion is irrelevant because of what he did.

He is long gone and we (the program) will suffer because of what he and a few players/coaches did. He can give his irrelevant opinion all he wants, no one gives a **** on the matter.

Some of you fans like 88 make me laugh literally. Having never played a down of football you don't know what these young men are thinking of.

I will side with Larry on this not going to discuss it, but I believe there is still a human element to all of this.

Please explain why you have to play football to have an opinion on the matter.

How about the human element to the kids not involved in all of this? How about the human element to Duke Johnson or the other freshman/sophomores etc that did nothing?

How about because a criminal "apologizes" to the family and serves time, the family still can't get over the crimes?

We are and will get some time of punishment for these kids and coaches, I don't care if they pay back all their Benhiana dinners because damage was done.

Maybe somebody should ask the players at OSU how they feel about NOT taking a bowl ban last year? They would be playing Notre Dame for the national championship if they had. Was the chance at the Taxslayer Bowl worth it after going 6-7, knowing that Urban Meyer was coaching this year?

Kid needs to move on and shut his mouth.

He was part of the reason why we are in this mess.

This, don't take money and your school doesn't get in trouble. A bit hypocrtical calling out the University for doing damage control for a siutation he helped create.

Vernons thoughts aside its pretty easy to throw your venom at the school and I can get that from the human element as Larry says but the real fault in all this is the NCAA. We now have had 2 seasons and 2 recruiting cycles messed with due to something that happened how many years ago. We are just hanging around in limbo and IMO taking another bowl ban was the smart play. If the NCAA would do their job and hand down the sanctions after spending over a year on this crap than nobody would be talking about how the University doesn't have their back.

You almost have to laugh at how oblivious some people can be. If I had been a reporter that he spewed that line of garbage to, I would not have been able to resist the next thing coming out of my mouth being "So Olivier, how bad do you feel for your actions that led to the school taking it's second straight bowl ban"?

Sorry if this was posted in another thread, if it was I was not able to find it...

This enrages me:

In NFL locker rooms and on Twitter accounts, they voiced their displeasure with the university's unprecedented decision.

"Sometimes I guess you feel like the school doesn’t have your back," said Miami Dolphin Olivier Vernon, a member of the 2011 Hurricane team that also sat out a bowl ban. "You work so hard in the season to get to a bowl game, get to ACC championship, and to know that your school gave up a bowl bid kinda hurts a little bit but I’m not there so I ain’t worrying about it right now."

He is part of the reason we had to take the ban in the first place and he is ****ed at the University? How about he looks in the mirror. What a jackass.

Wow man

The guy who accepted the most improper benefits is on here asking why Miami is taking a bowl ban?????????

The ultimate douche ending to the tweet..."but I am not there so I am not worried about it right now."

Oh ok, glad you aren't worried about it.

I was just about to post the same thing. That last line exemplifies exactly what is wrong with Miami.
