Visiting Saturday. 11th 5 star.
Owens, who is the No. 1 ranked running back in the country according to 247Sports, has run for 5308 yards and 76 touchdowns across three high school seasons. As a junior, Ownes totaled 2989 yards and 46 scores.

Top 2 running backs in the country on campus. Not bad

1000% SEC, yes Texas/Okla are SEC

He doesnt have to recruit him hes a lock to Ole Miss but they will give Lane the credit
I don’t think so. He wants to go somewhere he can win a title, he isn’t doing that at Ole miss. I understand all the family connection but I cant imagine the Manning family wanting there son to be coached by Lane kiffin. Think this is a UGA, bama Clemson battle.

Hopefully Mario makes the most of the opportunity but if you think the majority of these OOS kids aren't here b/c of the tournament then you are the dummy.
Probably true, but Mario is playing the long game. 3, 4, 5 years from now when these younger kids are ready to graduate, they will remember their January trip to Miami and seeing the nice U campus, they’ll know better when others tell them negative stuff about us.

WOW ELITE, thats more talent than the nike opening in Oregon each year

Most had Saturday circled as the day Miami planned to host major prospects across the Class of 2023 and 2024.

While the Hurricanes plan on doing a lot more on Saturday, the action got going Friday with multiple blue-chip prospects making their way to Coral Gables.

- Detroit (Mich.) King five-star quarterback Dante Moore was probably the most high-profile guy in Coral Gables. The signal-caller, who is one of two players Cristobal has offered at the position, has a great relationship with the Hurricanes head coach and was able to learn a lot about the program while on campus. He didn’t talk a lot about the offense, but Moore hinted that Cristobal has a plan for the unit.

- Tacoma (Wash.) Lincoln five-star defensive lineman Jayden Wayne is another elite recruit who came through Coral Gables on Friday. Wayne took a tour of the school Joe Salave’a and recruiting staffer Terry Jefferson before being greeted by Mario Cristobal, who was the first coach to offer Wayne.

Wayne’s parents were happy to see Cristobal and they all spoke for a few minutes before heading inside and starting the visit. Cristobal was noticeably happy to see Wayne.

I asked Wayne why getting down to Miami was a priority this weekend and the clear answer was his relationship with Cristobal and Salave’a. He enjoyed getting another look at Miami and credited the brotherhood around the program. He’s excited about seeing that again in the morning when he’s around other big-time recruits.

- The first person in this morning was Orlando Edgewater tight end Camp Magee, who picked up a UM offer by the time he left campus. The 6-foot-6, 210-pounder looked every bit of that listing. Miami will be a player in that recruitment as is Iowa State, who is scheduled to get a visit next weekend.

- Miami also hosted a pair of Top247 cornerbacks in the Class of 2023 in Corona (Cali.) Centennial’s Aaron Williams and St. Louis (Mo.) DeSmet’s Christian Gray.

Williams left Miami feeling really good about the Hurricanes and Mario Cristobal, who he said was the first to offer as an eighth grader. The plan is for Williams to come back in the morning on the day of the scheduled Elite Prospect Day before playing in the Battle Miami tournament over the course of the weekend.

- 2023 Ferndale (Wash.) offensive lineman Landon Hatchett is another guy who made it to Miami on Friday. He was being escorted by graduate assistant Reggie Bain for most of the afternoon. He’s a potential center-type of prospect who seemed to be enjoying himself.

- Miami also hosted local guys like Miami Gulliver Prep five-star wide receiver Jalen Brown, who got to meet Bryan McClendon for the first time, Miami Killian Top247 athlete Robby Washington, Miami Killian four-star linebacker Stanquan Clark, and Miami Killian linebacker Bobby Washington.

- A top Class of 2024 prospect that came through Coral Gables was Chesepeake (Va.) Oscar Smith Top100 cornerback Asaad Brown.
- Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas quarterback Tyler Aronson also made it by campus, as did Homestead running back Isaac Brown, who I heard have a conversation with Kevin Smith. Smith is going to be a big-time recruiter down here.

Watching Smith in that element was really unique. You can tell he's a builder of men and a guy who does things the right way. Brown is young and shy and Smith was talking to him about eye contact and about how he's going to make him feel at home and that the next time they saw each other he would feel more open about him. Smith also explained to Brown about how they were from the same place in Goulds.

Was -25 30 without the windchill
You got about 15 minutes of any exposed skin, i.e., face when your outside before frost bite can set in.
The only time I don't like having my dog man... Haha
**** naw, the wife and I lived in Louisville for a year for work, and that was far enough north for us. We’re Florida baby’s that cold **** is for the birds 😂

Got **** that has Natty written ALL over it...

College Football Championship GIF by ESPN

Best part of having your HC be your best recruiter is sustained success. Bobby did it for years as their closer, Saban, Meyer, Kirby even dabo, it’s no coincidence that the schools winning titles have HCs that are elite recruiters, makes it a lot easier to deal with assistant turnover.
