Still might be a year out next season from really dominating. Who are the DTs next season going into there 3+ seasons, Mesidor, who should be playing SDE, Horton, Bain, who might not need to add anymore weight bc he already looks slower from his current weight gain, Ahmad Moten. Thats nothing, too reliant on 2nd year DTs. They need to address the depth at that position for the immediate future and the future future.

I would love to see a DE with good size out of highschool stay a DE in college, rather than turning them into a DT or tweener. Every LB with good size don’t need to be turned into a DE and every DE with good size don’t need to be turned into a DT.

Yeah, every recruit is different. Plenty of College and NFL DEs that have gained a max of 5-10lbs since leaving highschool. It’s all about perfecting your craft, playing to your strengths, and toning up and getting stronger. Sometimes it means they need to gain significant weight other times just a little.

Yeah Blount is a tough one just because of his age. So it was difficult to project how he would hold up in the trenches being so young even if he was bigger

DL group between last year and this year looks good though. I actually like a couple of our lower rated commits in this class a lot (Newton/Simpson) but edge in particular on paper is **** good

Guess depend on budget I would put the money and dbs and roll the dice on the younger studs . However if we have money for days I agree . We need 2 or 3 cbs and one safety at least
