Whats really disturbing:

You have an NFL Hall of Fame DL guru on your staff and guys would rather play with a consistent 7-5 or 8-4 SC team rather than visit this dumpster fire.

Lots of cash and woman are undefeated for the most part. It is what it is. We don't have the money to compete for the top guys this year. Bottom line.

Well there’s likely or unlikely. Would you consider flipping blue-chip kids to be likely? I wouldn’t. It’s possible. Collins is a good example. I wouldn’t be shocked. But you have to say it happens relatively infrequently.
Agreed.

I'm also not sold on over the top recruiting after going 5-7 TBH.

We have been set back by last year. The field matters to alter this class and give us actual ammo for 2025.

There’s some dudes like Stewart, Stone etc that I didn’t think we really had a chance at

However Scott should have been ours. I don’t care if momma thought it was too far for him to go that’s why it’s called recruiting

And Franklin. Losing Franklin and Scott to me those are a few examples of guys that we need to be getting

It's always about the HC. I be telling y'all. If we get these kids I always will give MC the credit cause staff changes yearly, and if you still getting elites it's you not them.

Losing games loses recruits but I think it's extra bad this year because Mario made the worst hires of any coach in the country last year (absolutely inexcusable) and last years team was the worst I've ever seen at Miami BY FAR. They shouldn't have even been 5-7.

Second part is NIL obviously isn't as good even if people mockingly say the school has 6 billionaires chipping in and act like losing Ruiz' $10 mil a year somehow doesn't matter (dumbest **** I've ever heard).

If Miami wins this year and still has struggles recruiting after reducing the suck tax, it will be extremely concerning because it means Miami simply can't compete longterm.

Basically, gotta hope the suck tax is massive right now but it can get back to being a more even playing field if the team actually shows progress. If that's not what's going on, Miami might be truly ****ed.

I'm not sure why you guys keep recycling that same bull**** excuse.

UF: 6-7 Year end *** whipping by the Beavers
Current Recruiting Ranking -3
5 Stars - 1
4 Stars - 12
3 Stars - 7
Avg - 91.72

A&M: 5-7
Current Recruiting Ranking -10
5 Stars - 1
4 Stars - 15
3 Stars - 2
Avg - 91.39

OU: 6-7
Current Recruiting Ranking - 15
5 Stars - 1
4 Stars - 9
3 Stars - 7
Avg - 90.70

Auburn: 5-7
Current Recruiting Ranking - 18
5 Stars - 2
4 Stars - 10
3 Stars - 2
Avg - 91.85

Auburn will pass our *** shortly.

All those teams had equal to almost as bad of seasons as us last year.

Here's us

Miami: 5-7
Current Recruiting Ranking - 17
5 Stars - 1
4 Stars - 5
3 Stars - 12
Avg - 89.40

We are the only team of the group that has more 3 stars than 4 stars. In addition, the only team that has a average below 90. UF and Billy just didn't turn into recruiting experts in one season coming off a losing season like us. Just be honest and real. Our recruiting is mediocre this year because we are getting flat out out spent or unwilling to pay extra (sucktax).

**** can we just poach whoever is recruiting DC area for South Carolina, that is 2 5 stars and 2 high 4 star lineman from this area in the last two cycles

“We have to win to recruit well with a coach who has a reputation as a recruiter!”

I’m so glad that we didn’t hire an actual football coach if wins are what gets you recruits. So glad we went with a recruiter who can’t recruit.

I guess UF and TAMU missed the memo about losing games affecting recruiting.

Do we have to replay Brent Venables recruiting pitch that seems to be working?! All 5 win seasons aint the same, get dog walked up and down the field by mtsu and this is results..

@Cribby are you worried about our recruiting right now or do you think we’ll be fine and business will pick up?

I know you’ve said top 5 was unrealistic but are you staying with that 8-12 range or so?
I’m not thrilled with the DL and OL recruiting this go around. I’ll let Ol slide because I trust our coaches in that department. They’ve earned that. But imo a couple the takes are a little out there.

Cb is another area that’s looking rough. as of now. Miss on Cole at LB and that’s a good amount of guys at the top of the board you‘ve whiffed on.

So am I worried ? A little bit , I’ve always been more realistic than the YT / twitter and subscription guys that said we were “ getting everyone“. I never believed that and I’ve been vocal with that.

The season will dictate if we can steal some guys late and get to the top 10-15 range. If the season goes off the tracks I don’t see the same result as last year. Hard to sell that after two turds in a row. That said I think we’ll be much improved if we can avoid injuries at key spots.

And there you go, they just offered Marcus Downs, a 3-star out of SC.

I'm the biggest Mario as a recruiter supporter that you can be, but this is disappointing as it stands today. Again, 4 months till ESD. We can flip kids, there are still some uncommitted kids. But standing here on 8/1, with so many of the big targets committed elsewhere and now we're extending new offers to 3-star kids, it's not great.
Marcus Downs was offered in February...hes also a DT here.

That was ugly lose for certain, but that also happened last year and we still brought in a top 10 class. If that one loss meant that much those guys would have bailed on our ***.

At this point the staff and us need the season to start ASAP. They not running away from 5-7, if by reports NIL is fine. Both Jacksons gone, Rudolph, Scott and now Stewart, all had multiple visits, plus OV'd. If yall know me, i dont be hyperbolic about shyyt thats not necessary. Striking out on what u said u poured all energy into......mal. @DMoney does it apply to question "Miami feels good here"?
Nil isn’t fine. I don’t know why “insiders” keep saying this. It’s obvious Miami isn’t over paying for anyone. Which means they don’t have it or not willing to pay the suck tax.

The cycle continues for Miami. Boosters pay for the first class, then clutch their wallets for the next classes.

I’ve been saying for two years they wouldn’t over pay. We were never a top tier NIL. It’s not my fault some bought that narrative. I’ve been clear we got closer but we’re still nowhere near the top 4-5 spenders. Bags will always be hard to beat and Miami doesn’t play that.

My bad, let me rephrase that. Some insiders.
