Seriously we landed 2 whales at the OLine last year, and Did work in the portal. Now I think EVERYONE is happy about the future of our Oline. Last 2 years we got great EDGE guys, and then this year we got a fring 5 star EDGE again, and are likely to land two fringe or actual 5star DTs. Yet people are seriously acting like that would make this DLine class considered a failure. It's a joke. If we land Franklin and just keep what we have on the DLine, you really have to have the bar set at literally the pinnacle to think this was a fail.

It is quite simple though. We gotta just win this year.

Unless something changes, I think we could very well whiff on the rest of my whale picture. I’ll dig it up later.

he was a kid who got drafted out of the few kids we had drafted. tech hes an NFL corner. in all seriousness, he did play a lot better last year than the previous years. 7th round is a lot better than where most of our kids ended up

Guess we'll have to see. Regardless my point is if you actually read it is yall are crying acting like the sky is falling, meanwhile if we land one other elite DLine prospect and keep what we have, we had a great haul. Objectively. But yall don't seem to want to admit that for some weird reason.

Also It's August 1st.

what other elite DL do you see us landing? it isnt stone. we lost the others to other schools. Stewart just committed elsewhere

Of course. He was awful here, was ridiculed literally his entire career, but in order to discredit the current staff you include him in the “major loss” category.

Stevenson is a loss. For sure. As far as the entire room, I’ll be beyond shocked if the overall group isn’t better than last year. Jaw on the floor shocked. But they haven’t done it yet, so we have to let it play out.

Your kid comes home with a mid-quarter progress report that's all Cs and Ds. Do you chew his/her *** out a bit and implement some consequences, or sit on your hands quietly until the final report card comes (because who knows, he/she might still end up with straight As)?

I'm still unsure why you keep bringing up last year. That's not up for debate. It's finished. We had a good class, but you have to follow that up with additional good classes to maintain a program and create that competition to raise the talent bar overall for the team. This class is mediocre up to this point and most likely we'll finish subpar. So I'm thrilled that Mario put together a great class in 2022 and made our position groups better for this upcoming season, but this current crop (2023) he's adding to the additional position groups is not looking too **** good. I will say that he could have done better in the following areas in the portal.

QB - No one to really push TVD to start
WR - Missed the main top guys and settled on Kirk and Harrell. Hopefully Harrell is and stays healthy.
DT - Missed on the Big DT to replace Jackson. Hopefully Dean holds up in the run game.
