Dylan Day (is not injured)

Don't know if he'll be much of a factor in fixing this year's problem, but his play on special teams has me optimistic he can help in the future. We desperately need speed and physicality in the secondary. Runs a 21.63 in the 200M.

If he chases a RB 99 yards, strips the ball and turns around and runs it 100 back we’ll care about his 200. What a useless KPI for a football player.

Fast players run fast. The 40 is better than the 200, but it's a verified time and something that top college teams look at.
The Fly10 is better than both. I’ve sat in enough college recruiting meetings over 20 years I’ve never heard anyone ask for a 200.

100 yes but even that’s in blocks on spikes a different surface with no decision making whatsoever along with no COD but yeah the 200. Great metric for team sports.

Major colleges pay for a service that collects and analyzes track times, including the 200M. I only knew about Day’s time because someone in a recruiting department told me about it.

We got like 6,000 threads trashing our defense and yall just can’t make it 3 posts 😂

Also, after 6000 shots of pure gasoline to blind us from our defense, D$ with the maybe some off brand kool aid will help soothe you back into thinking there is hope on the way.

That’s called the inability to filter useful data from useless data. Would love to see the evidence of correlation.

Game speed and track speed ain’t the same.

I've never seen a player who runs a 21.6 200M with poor straight-line speed on a football field. It's neither useless nor conclusive. It's a piece of the puzzle.

The straight-line speed has certainly shown itself on coverage units so far. The COD, the instincts, the fluidity are all different components. He shows some of it on tape against poor competition, but there is still a lot to learn there.
