DT Simeon Barrow, Jr. commits to Miami

No bueno fellas, no bueno. UF is going to have success wearing us out in between the tackles. Same with FSU and a few others. They were likely going to have success with Barrow anyway, but now especially. We better drop 40+ or we will underwhelm in the column that matters.

Back to a 3-3 smh. I am really sick of this stuff. Coaches had more than enough time to address this DT problem but instead made it worse ... Horton better be Da Gawd.

I was under the impression that even grad transfers were only allowed to portal through May 1st. Since he enrolled, wouldn't he have to wait until the next window? When is that?

Uh...December 2024...

I told people that this new NCAA rule was stupid and would likely be challenged in court.

If "walking on when we give you NIL money to pay your tuition" is sufficient to bypass all the NCAA rules, then it creates a massive loophole and we should just shut everything down, since the rules don't really mean anything or have any binding effect.

Not sure why anyone is surprised. Have you folks taken a look across the landscape of college athletics? There are athletes transferring to more than one school within 12 months. It's madness but isn't this what many people wanted? Here it is.
A circus and lot of time you are clowned.

Totally false.

ITU/Canesport/CIS podcasts all have the same 20% deal and they've been doing it for two months.

There are partnerships between all three and Canes Connection.

You're just making **** up and spreading false narratives.
Thanks for repeating what I just said.

It was only ITU and CIS. Apparently Canesport too but I don’t follow them.

Now it’s every player, every podcaster, etc. at the same time. Coinciding with this news. Am I drawing conclusions? Yep. I’d bet there’s a connection though

Yeah, the Cormani loophole is about ready to blow up college football.

Run defense means nothing when we lost our top 3 DTs and two starting safeties.

Clark and Cook may end up being better, but on paper right now, the DT room is considerably worse than in 2023. Only time will tell, **** I hope they’re massive upgrades and we can stay in the top 25 in run defense.
Clark is a run stopper, and better than LT and Deen at that role.

Guidry's defense was 4th in run defense in 2022 at Marshall, and 11th at Miami last year. I still think we will be ok there. I thought Clark and Cook both looked stout in spring game when Miami tried to run.

Moten, Horton, Campbell, Scott, Jones, and even Bain can help there.

The only thing missing me off more than him leaving is all the dumbass comments in this thread.

One player won't make a difference? Please, tell me more on how you don't understand team sports.

Mutual parting of ways? .......lmao based off what.

How do we know Scott and Jones aren't ready? ......well how do you know they are ready? The point is to not begin the season with a huge question mark.

Miami is broke bc of some retweets?.....what a huge leap. No evidence this has anything to do with money at all.

Like dam, just shut up with all the coping mechanisms and conspiracy theories. If we losr Barrow, that will unequivocally hurt the team.

Like htown said, better hope we score a lot and take early leads.
They are the same idiots that will turn around and blame our lack of talent rather than Mario when we lose

Listen to me, don't listen to me....

Move Bain to DT. That's what you gotta do.

Bain said out his own mouth he wants to play edge, and not be moved inside. He also produced at a better rate on the outside than inside.

Couldn't take this heat wave.

Given how bad it's been to find parking because of all the construction, he probably got ****ed after he circled the lots a couple times and just decided to keep driving all the way back home.

And here I thought it was possible to build three different construction projects along the canal at the same time...
