The suck is still in effect wether you like it or not. The record is still being used against us.
The draft is still being used against us.
Recruits could care less if day lost to Michigan who eventually won it all. It’s a lot different when we lose to GT.
Elijah Arroyo was arguably the best t end in the class and TAMU went all in and still
Couldn’t beat us. Granted he has ties to sofla but we still got him over Texas money.

Get to the playoffs beat a quality team and this conversation is pointless.

If that's how you want to look at it. I think it's odd, but I know posing questions is frowned upon. I guess I could just close my eyes and wait until August 31st.
You see what you said, questions are frowned upon. Lies. Its the way you always put an angle to things. You could ask an open ended question, such as: " why do you guys think we have been struggling so badly in recruiting Texas?" Which would then trigger all kinda responses.

But your framing : "why is Mario ignoring Texas?". You take negative agenda driven angles then try to be the victim when people refute your framing of whats going on.

Not sure what you mean by that. But ok. To me it just seems like an odd case of deja Vu. Each & every season some of you guys turn on Madden or something & start questioning something or other when it relates to recruiting. Mario on the other hand, (clearly sparked by several of you guys criticism)just turns it on & lands a top 3-7 class in the country... I think you guys criticism is necessary. Cause without that where would we be? It's not like we'd be recruiting (& in some cases leading)for a handful of the best corners & safeties in the country.

Not so sure about that. The reason I created the thread is Gaby had him on a UV list back in March. Around 4PM he was listed by Gaby with the recruits visiting that day so I posted that he was coming in the UV thread. But after about an hour of not seeing a public tweet on the topic, Gaby wiped him off the list. The official explanation was a typo, similar sounding name from a CB in the 26 cycle. Never bought into that excuse.

Its possible that Gaby did make a mistake and he was never on the visit list. However, it is very possible that this was supposed to be a silent visit and not for public consumption. Given that the I suspected this was a silent visit, due to some quick acting Maudes, all evidence of this info disappeared until tonight when he committed to Oregon.

Confirmed. I had a conversation with @lindend about this at the time, including the Gaby part.

You choose to focus on the negative. I feel like we are ignoring/avoiding/not recruiting hard enough or whatever phrase is gentle enough not to offend. It's possible you feel differently but that that has no bearing on the results. It's the offseason I haven't criticized anything Miami or Mario has done since December.
It is deja vu that everytime I type anything that isn't "I trust Mario" it catches your attention. I posted that comment in March and I haven't seen any info on a single Texas recruit Since. If that is not ignoring/avoiding then I am not sure what is.

When Miami was Miami we had kids from Texas. I know they’re a lot of money thrown around to keep the big dogs at ATM and Texas but there’s a million great prospects from there. I agree here! Get back into Texas.
It's crazy how this is confrontational to say, but I agree. Seems like a fair assesment.

I think in his own way he’s saying with how Mario and the staff recruits that state has so much talent it does seem like we aren’t as involved as we could be. I’m not saying we don’t know what we are doing in recruiting and we have our approach that lands us top classes. But I would like to see us in East Texas some also

That's what's lost on people. Not every recruit(for numerous reasons)do we want it known we're after & to what extent. To assume a national recruiter is completely ignoring a state with as much talent as Texas is a lil wild. Do we have the results there that we would want now. Clearly that's a hard no. But that doesn't mean effort is lacking.

I think Mario is a relentless recruiter. Some people use the word elite but those are my thoughts exactly.

This would have answered my question.

Asking questions about our recruiting in Texas is a legit one. Framing it as Mario ignoring the state is an agenda driven question and there is a clear difference.

I hope you have a job where people are nice to you. You seem soft.
Bro u clearly have an agenda. The people who call other people soft are usually the softest, most crying, vile, disgusting people around. Always playing the victim after starting stuff. Saying Cristobal is ignoring the state is clearly a leading question. And i dont think you are that thick to not know that. Which means its clearly deliberate, because thats your thing here.

I'm sorry for your hurt.

I've said this several times on here brother.

At a certain point either a lil faith or a lil common sense becomes necessary. Do you really believe a head coach who has a sole focus of acquiring the best talent possible, who's built a staff of dudes with connections across the country, that we would all simply ignore a state as big and as talented as Texas? Dennis Smith is on the staff **** near solely because of Texas. I understand certain frustrations. But right now this all seems like simply trying to find an issue where there is none. Not simply about people's thoughts on where we are in texas. But where recruiting as a whole at a level never seen previous to this staff. Yet still some people feel the need to pick that apart. Does it really matter where the recruits we land come from as long as it's what we need? They're not giving us a reason to question this side of the equation. Yet still some people need to.
