2023 Does the Class Hold, Improve, or Drop?

It seams like South Florida produces at least one near Elite speed kid every year. thornton, Schwartz, Tutu... I don't follow the HS kids but I'd put money on there being a kid in South Florida that can run 4.3 that should be signed by Miami.

We're going to need to have a Norvell-like portal class

I see you're doubling down on the Forfeit State slurping. Interesting choice.

On a related note, @djnellz it looks like you were right and I now regret my decision to be merciful a couple weeks back. If you see me showing restraint or pity in the future to someone who doesn't deserve it, please remind me of this post.

Duane was the fastest in the mid-90s but there were a good number of 4.4 guys. JG may of been faster prior to his nasty ACL. I believe Duane was around 4.3-4.35 but I'm old enough to not remember exacts. JG was 4.3 prior to the ACL but more likely 4.5 after.
Duane was the fastest??..nah man...he was fast..but definitely not the fastest

We need to get the top recruits in SoFla, most of them, topped with some of the top guys in the rest of the state and sprinkled in with national guys to understand that they are going to be legends for bringing this program out of the mud and buy in to being the face of change for the program and Mario is going to have this thing running strong and recruiting is going to become an even bigger machine than it is in shanty town Athens or Toothless Tuscaloosa.

You know got your back, my guy.

I was messing with the class calculator on 247 the other day (for maybe the second time in my life), and it hit me hard that 300 points did not seem attainable the way things are going. But if Antione Jackson reclassifies, then we're right back in that game, if Okunlola and Bain are in the class.

The fastest player on the 94-95 team was Carlos Jones...I'm super close to Nate Brooks...have been since 95.
Nate and Duane were 2-3 years younger than Carlos…no? Wasnt Duane a freshman in 94-95 and Carlos left that year?

None the less, there were a ton of fast kids on those teams. Sad to think we don’t have any kids under 4.4 right now and not many in the sub 4.5 on D

Duane was a freshman in 95. Jones' senior year was 96.

If we keep everyone we have now, add Damari and Bain, and add some elite WR’s in the portal then I’m happy.

They’ll keep what they have.

We won’t add much more of value from a rankings perspective.

What I THINK Miami a should do is go big (and miss obviously) and hold the rest of the spots for the portal.

I also THINK that the schools graduation rate is going to get hit hard after this season. There will be a lot of non-contributors asked to move on from the program.

Scholarships are renewed every year and at the discretion of the institution. That may have been the top agenda item in the team meeting earlier this weekend.
