Does it bother anyone that Mario was graded the worse new 2022 coach?

I'd feel better if Gattis was gone and losing McClain to primo after sending everyone to an empty Lakeland is rather lame. Big time coach embarrassed by a kid is disturbing. Hard to think 2023 will be much better, especially after all the preseason hype last year. I know, if only Chaney or Nelson had been healthy 2022 would've been different, sigh! We are down to 3 QB's now, what if TVD isn't 100 percent? Help me out here with some reason to be optimistic???? Or is it wait another year or two? Elko at Duke gets an A, Kelly and A+, Freeman at ND a B, Maybe we should've promoted Lashlee as he is a B, Dykes A+, Riley A+, and the lowest and only D is Mario.
Goal for 2023 should be about 7-8 Wins.

based on what I’m seeing with Mario our best case is to be a 10 win team every year I don’t have hope we will ever get over the top because he’s not Saban or Dabo..we will always have a really good to great oline and TE, good dline, good LB and RB and everything else will be meh imo sorry if I’m being a mope but I just dont see it and honestly I’ll be happy being a ten win team every year compared to what we’ve seen the last 20 years

You hit the proverbial nail on the head. I’m just hoping against hope that with there being 24 teams qualifying, that we at least make it into the playoffs once in a while. But realistically speaking, I think any dream we might have for another Natty under Mario, is just that, a dream. Hope he proves me wrong.

McClain embarrassed Bama and Trob before that so that's what the kid does. Secondly let's keep it real.....Duke gets an A+ but if we aiming for championships realistically if u had to grade Miami's chances and Dukes for a natty down the road who has a better grade? This a long process for a rebuild, was last season disappointing? Yes but Depends who u ask cause I expected it.

At best he'll be for us what John Cooper was at Ohio State. At worst, man, I don't even want to go there. At this point I'd take it, but out patience would be tested with a John Cooper like resume years down the road.
I'm mulling over. Cooper was an insane recruiter who couldn't deal with the archrival.

This is a tuffy.

I doubt Mario really changes his ways
He is what he is
Just have to hope he can out recruit all his deficiencies
At some point, if losing or otherwise meh seasons pile up, any HCs recruiting "draw" is gonna suffer. My guess is he's got maybe two more seasons to turn this around as far as his reputation and future recruiting capability goes. If that hasn't happened by the end of 2024, no recruit is gonna recall or care what he once did at Oregon.

As far as job security, that's a whole different story. Don't care how many planes with banners might fly, he's here for the rest of the decade (unless he would be the one to call it a day).

Short answer : yes

Everyone thought we had something great hiring Mario away from Oregon and the all star staff he put together. I’m not saying he won’t be successful down the road, but year 1 was tragic.

Yeah, a year ago Mario was the ultimate Cane & answer to all ailing the program. Now, Mario is just horrible. So let's just fire him, have Ruiz write him a fat check and shut down the program. Problem solved.

Moreso that he had a great record, but always blew the Michigan game and / or some other game. He just couldn't get over the hump and win them the NC.

No. It doesn't bother me. It is the reality of the situation. Relative to his peers, he was amongst the worse / the worst.
