Does it bother anyone that Mario was graded the worse new 2022 coach?

Hands down JJ was our best coach and I remember ths from an article: "In 1984, when he was offered the head coaching job at the University of Miami, Johnson was unsure if he wanted to leave Stillwater. His good friend Larry Lacewell told Johnson that if he wanted to win a national championship and eventually coach in the NFL, he had to take the Miami job. Johnson soon after accepted the head coaching job at Miami." JJ's record at Ok St was not spectacular.

What odds does ANY Oregon coach have at a NC? With the proper staff (like what JJ had) Miami potential is 100 times better for a HC to attain a NC.

Ummm, So. Beach haven’t helped chit. Where do some of ya’ll get this narrative from? & the women? U mean the women w/ surgeries, looking for a guy in a Rari? Lol.

-Let me go check that thriving white sandy beach in Tuscaloosa; surely that’s y they r & have been recruiting at an astronomical pace.

-Or maybe I should reserve my yacht tour along the coastlines of Athens, GA. Really can’t wait to go snorkeling in the deep sea there, since that has to be the reason y they continue to pull in the best classes.

-Hmmm, I’ve always wanted to go swim w/ the dolphins in Columbus, OH. Surely, the top athletes r flocking there to get tanned on the sand & swim w/ Flipper.

-Or, y don’t I just go deep sea fishing in the vast waters of Austin, TX. For some reason, from 2013 - 2023 recruiting cycles, they’ll pulled in seven top-10 recruiting classes, w/ back-to-back top 5 classes.

Meanwhile, in So Beach, FL…from 2013 - 2022, Miami has had one, ONE Top-10 class (2018), & Mario in his first, full cycle just did that. Lol. But it’s the beaches of So Fla, they said. C’mon; be better than that. If u been a fan for even 5 yrs, u know **** well it’s Mario’s recruiting ability & have chit to do w/ So. Fla. “beaches.”

Too simplistic and just incorrect. Look at who is winning the National Championships .... Georgia, Bama, Clemson, OSU. Not a sandy beach or South Florida weather in the group. It is all about the coaching staff and ability to convince elite recruits that your staff can develop them for the next level. That is it. Beaches and "stuff" are simply window dressing, nice to have but not necessary to accomplish the task.

Go back further when Shannon had the #1 class. Stop making excuses for Mario I've never seen him do anything that pans out. For Nick Saban doesn't need the frills and he's a coach who gives bags throughout the nation instead of the divas in South Florida. I've been a fan for over 30yrs and the regurgitation of Florida is our downfall.

Kirby, Saban and Ohio State curb stomp everyone right now. I don’t expect us to beat them more times than not at the moment though we have and will win some. I do expect us to out-recruit Napier and Norvell in our strongholds, and on the OL, many more times than not.

Notwithstanding that, Mario picking CoRch assistants is a separate issue and not reflective of his recruiting abilities.

U said u’ve never seen Mario do anything that pans out?? Lol. Dude u’re literally all over the place. First u said the reason Mario is recruiting well was due to So. Beach which is the most asinine thing ever, especially since other programs are & have been out recruiting us, historically for the past 15 yrs despite So. Beach. Lol. Furthermore, Mario was out recruiting us while at Oregon, but lemme guess, Nike $$, right? Even though his predecessors had that same Nike $$ & wasn’t recruiting at the same level.

Then u said whatever Mario has done has never panned out, huh? Lol…so I guess his time at UO was just make believe, huh? Lol.

If u have an axe to grind w/ Mario, leave it there, but don’t make up bull chit to justify ur axe. Use 5-7 to justify that, use Gattis to justify that, use clock mgmt to justify that, but don’t use something he’s actually good at like recruiting to justify that. Lol

I recall reading that it was a chance encounter with Jankovich & JJ on an elevator that led to JJ getting the job. Before that, John Cooper was the front runner to get the job, I think Lou Holtz was in the mix, too.

What has Mario done to make you drink the Kool Aid. If your happy with 5-7 and getting blown out by our rival so be it. If you like his Assistant Coach hires that suck so be it. To write a paragraph 8 pages long says another about you defending mediocrity. Mario recruiting has amounted to a pile of bssss****. Every time we get a coach that was an alumni people think we're back to prominence. Out of all the coaches we got Mario woo-hoo. Geeez I'm glad we didn't get L.Riley or someone who could have built up TVD instead of wasting their talent.

Lol; I’m not even a Mario fan like that, but again u’re doing another deflection post, so let me get ur *** back on subject:

U said the only reason y Mario recruited well was due to So. Beach, which was a dumb ***, fraudulent statement. That’s the only thing I initially called u out on. I perfectly highlighted not only are programs w/o a beach kicking our *** on the trail, but Mario was doing the same chit at Oregon.

Instead of addressing the direct rebuttal, u then go on this tangent about Randy and 2008, & that “nothing” Mario attempts to do works out. Again, another fraudulent statement, which is y I said I guess what happened at Oregon was make believe.

So instead of trying to put words or thoughts in my head, maybe u should read & stop being so emotional about what took place last season. Saying Mario only recruited well b/c of So. Beach was a dumb *** statement. Instead of u being man, woman, or them enough to simply acknowledge u were wrong but then shared ur axe to grind, u’ve been all over to place just to prove u have an axe to grind. Lmao!! Fact is, if there’s anything Mario CAN do well is recruit. Everything else is TBD.

This guy is a hating *** clown. That’s why I never respond to him. There are plenty of reasons to be concerned and I would grade Mario as an F for last year in terms of coaching and the season. He doesn’t even get a D from me.

But the fact this clowshow said that Mario’s recruiting was ***, shows exactly that he lacks any kind of intellect and only has one agenda. He’s not worth bothering with.

There are a lot of Mario haters here, that are much better posters and have better arguments. I don’t have a problem with them, I may not agree with all of their comments, but at least they have reasonable arguments sometimes. This guy is a knuckle dragging assclown. Don’t bother, he’s in my scroll-by list.

My good man, eye-popping asinine, is an apt description. I’m actually not anyone to be giving advice. It’s probably good that you actually do respond so that at least people can read a reasonable argument from an intelligent person. I just have a tendency to ignore dumb people. I think once you reach a certain age, you don’t bother with the fools. But like Tower of Power said, probably before you were born, you’re still a young man.
