There could be some improvement if Zaquan takes over for Jaden Harris but I don't see anything significant so no probably not. At this point we are what we are but what do I know? I know that Cam will have to carry us.

We can certainly play better, but we don’t have the talent at LB and in the secondary to be a top 20 defense. We have to recruit both spots much better.

Depends on if Guidry can finally be comfortable with a bend don’t break defense… our secondary is a glaring weakness that can be combatted with plenty of zone and dropping more into coverage and leaning on the Dline to get pressure alone

if Guidry does what he’s paid to do he can use this game as a springboard to build confidence in the defense. They score over 18ish points we are beyond cooked on defense rest of the year.

There are improvements to be made by reducing or eliminating mental mistakes. Better coaching, more film study, simplification. Whatever is necessary.

Issues related to physical talent, no, those can’t be fixed. Improving one’s technique can only help so much.

We need new DBs ASAP to turn around.. Maybe if you move Jojo trader to DB or something, he standing on sidelines now so maybe.. He was #1 player in country as high school soph based on DB play.. Worst he can do is tackle like Hill

I don’t think it’s solely a talent thing. I’m curious to know who the top 20 defenses are. Seems like teams always do more with less compared to us
