Do we still want Larranaga fired or forced to retire?

this is still the best team he has had in his whole career here we should have a better record than the one we have thats for sure, but to say he should dip idk, he's a good coach for what we are as a basketball school

When you are as young as we were this year, there is no way to know how good you really are. Anybody thinking this season is a huge disappointment, was too sure of success based on the talent we had on paper to start with. The game just isn't played on paper. IMHO we take the next step when this is Chris Lykes team, and he has the right, experienced pieces around him. Perhaps next season. Coach L cut his teeth winning with upperclassman he coached for several years.

We threw THREE automatic wins (GT, Cuse, BC), plus two choke and pukes (FSU and Clemson), and have a chance for third in the ACC.

WITH a half court offense that consists of: A: Immediate, off balance 3 (our bread and butter when we have a lead in the last 7 minutes) B: Desperation off balance 3 at the shot clock buzzer (used only when time is no factor) and C: Turnover, and with our best player out with injury. Oh, and we dont play interior defense, and let teams shoot uncontested from the perimeter.

Would be nice to get in a bag man assistant coach, who can recruit that one elite player we need.

Coach L is NOT the problem, he is the Savior.

Now, as for the NCAA Tourney, well...... A history of absolutely sickening performances (besides the '16 loss to elite 'Nova in the S16). Losing to teams that consisted of fans selected at random from the crowd before tip off (last year, that "No Mas" to marquette in the S 16 when we had a Championship contending team but tapped out because someone may have had the snifflres, etc) UF hires a Pee Wee league coach with a scratch program, and they still have more elite 8's than us.

Typical garbage and untrue post by SmokeyRone.

Coach has forgotten more basketball than any of us could ever comprehend. Simply put, Coach L is the man!

If someone came to you before the season and would have said "I know the future and Miami will wind up with the 3rd seed and double bye in the ACC tourney" you would have taken it. At least I'd hope you would. Yeah there were a couple of frustrating losses this season but I don't think you can find one team this season that hasn't experienced at least one of those. No Bruce Brown for awhile, Lonnie Walker took a good while to get into a groove this season, and the season still wound up like this. Take some time to appreciate it and enjoy what's yet to come.
