It should be apparent to anyone who has a pulse that we need either a change in scheme or change in personnel staffing wise in order to compete in big games. We have yet to show up in a big game in over three years. We haven't been competitive in a single big marque game.

this game pretty much all but decided the acc coastal representative in the acc championship game next month, on national television in primetime. it was a marque game

behind FSU, this was our biggest game of the year

We most certainly lack talent, and if you can't see that you're an idiot, but....BUT, the scheme is absolutely atrocious. If we had the 2001 defense maybe the scheme would work, but we don't, so we either need to try something else, or get someone else to try something else because this clearly isn't working. With that said, the talent is not that good either. Perryman is the "best" player on defense and he's vastly overrated (as I've been saying for weeks). He's a good LB, but that's it. He'd be fine with other LBs around him, but with garbage around him, he does not look good. He does nothing special and misses way too many tackles for someone with as much hype as he has. The scheme is horrible, but even when we have guys in position, they miss tackles, which makes it look even worse.

Who is teaching our players how to tackle? Jim Harbaugh taught the 49ers how to tackle correctly and they became a top D. Plus he is not a ***** so he can blitz and play man.

Both. If your defense is messing up on the same plays week-in and week-out, that's on the D coordinator for not being able to fix/adjust those problems.

Like I've been saying, we lack talent to stop elite teams like FSU but have more than enough to look good against the mediocre teams we've been playing.

Hopefully some of the blind fans, who have been defending the DC after consistent terrible performances masked by victory and unforced errors, can now see what some have been seeing all along.

Defense is played successfully with attitude, and our defense has the attitude removed from them by this **** *** scheme. Get in peoples faces, challenge them, make them beat you. I told yall, we do not have the talent to match FSU, but we have made every QB who can throw a ball look like Tom Brady. Failing to cover dragging WR on blitzs, RB wheel route and TE in the flats. This defense must go now. I think Golden is a sharp guy but if he cant see that Dno is inept and needs to be fired then he is going as well. Plain honest truth. Dont tell me Duke can bamboozle Logan Thomas on the road but we cant at home in pouring rain. They should have never past 17 points, despite the TOs. We don't need 3 years to see that we have not improved. Golden has blamed and made excuses. Not once have i ever heard him held Dno accountable....and thats a shame because he will name players when they mess up.

It's not bs. The talent is not elite. The talent is 7-5 to 8-4 talent. There are some good players out there, but overall the talent is overrated and was over hyped by posters on here. Coach D sucks, the scheme sucks, but a great DC would not have this same defense look like the '85 Bears.
