I remember when we hired a recruiting guru instead of lane to win these types of battles…

Stop with the Lane and/or BBB bull****. He’s from Mississippi so it makes since that the kid would want to stay closer to family. In the end, it’s about what matters most to the recruit. We are in these recruiting battles to the end while being negatively recruited against. Most kids we have lost have picked schools from their home state. We still have time to flip some of these kids in December.

Nothing at all at you but how many recruits do we have to lose before we stop blaming it on bags? The pot has to be overflowing at this point with how many whiffs we have had. There has to be a point where the NIL is worth waiting for. If not, we don’t have enough to pay the suck tax and this is pointless.

There’s no excuses that’s just one of the issues when you don’t play that game. That said If a kid doesn’t pick UM it’s a loss.

People are so stuck on last year they can’t see straight. Last year the stars aligned minus DT. Majority of our highly rated recruits were right around the corner like Img, SFla or in state. Mauigoa, Mcclain , Bain , Fletcher ,Riley Williams , Wayne , Ray Ray ,Robby ,Stafford , Brown , Malik Bryant etc. So minus Okunlola and Popo who did we go steal from all the big boys last year ? Out of state battles. I mean y’all say we were balling so hard and now we have nothing ? We’ve been in it for **** every elite recruit on the DL this year and made a lot of top threes , while being “ broke “.

What’s funny our DT recruiting was god awful last year too but y’all leave that out of the “ we were balling so hard last class “ debate.

Fact is this is the first time in forever we went full on big fish hunting for majority elite guys and we’re getting our asses kicked. That’s just how the game works sometimes. National recruiting for the most valuable position in CFB and only focusing on the elite is a hard battle. Especially when there’s only so many dancing bears on the planet .

I think we get some dudes before the class is finished but to get this thing going you need to show some life on game days.

Now everyone can get back to their temper tantrums.

It's unfortunate we finally got a HC known for recruiting and now money is the best recruiter. It's pretty obvious our next coach needs to be someone that can do more with less. Everyone said Mario is the kinda coach that's going to need equal or more talent then the opponent, doesn't look like we will get there.

Ahh yes, no other program deals with negative recruiting. We hired a dud. It is what it is. Only 7 more years

People need to recalibrate their perceptions. FSU, Clemson, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, Louisville, NC State all finished better than us in the ACC last year. I’m not giving this staff props for coming up short, but the mere fact we were considered IS something considering all those teams stated weren’t.

It’s clear we’re consistently getting our foot in the door with top talent that, again, those schools listed are not. We again can see that with David Stone whose top 3 is OU, MSU and us. This staff has definitely been disruptive to the recruiting landscape nationally, and brought Miami back into the conversation consistently for top talent.

We simply just do not have the ability to sell much on field performance at this point and it’s hurting our ability to close. Absolutely need a good showing this year. We are on the cusp
