The search was done 2 years prior was more the point I was making in that. But Mario for me is the afterthought in this instance. What keeps me replying is the comment about not being serious towards the program hence the university. Yet you acknowledge the obvious short comings that we were dealing with and how the university has tackled those things head first. The fact that Mario saw it as an issue as well should help you atleast see the progress we're making as a whole. The team in itself, we will just have to see how things go I suppose. It's the rest I take issue with. Because no matter who the coach is we've made monstrous improvements over things that directly benefit the program & to me that's indisputable. Honestly never in my life did I think the city of coral gables would allow us to build something as simple as our football complex. The roadblocks we've encountered simply the ones I'm aware of throughout the years have been huge. So just to see this get approved knowing how much we had to fight for it is insane to me.This still kinda proves my point tho, having eyes on mario before manny and then interviewing one other coach? Who was already a top dc and then hc in the nfl? Doesn’t sound like a realistic plan to me but it worked out how they wanted with mario getting experience but thats still not good process imo. Especially for a program that has made similar mistakes before.
Either way i wanted mario over the other candidates lol but hearing he was the main target and no real search was had is frustrating and still a major red flag but I do think he’s fit for the job. I hope it works out because the way it seems is we are still putting relationships before the program.
For the signature yes, but the commitment no.I think we still alive with Franklin too

Funny how many good posters are starting to sound frustrated about the same thing.

You and i have touched on this privately but I promised myself not to speak on it here. I’ll be band if I spoke my thoughts on a lot going on here. Nice to see others voicing their frustrations, as well.
we are. If anything gets posted about franklin on the webs from here on out especially twitter.. please dont trash the program.I think we still alive with Franklin too
The improvements came with ritch having to put money up for an ipf. Mario has relationships with big money people, and had to put in his contract to leave oregon for stuff to get done at a certain time. Is that not a problem? Why does it take a coach coming here to get **** done? Why isn’t it a #1 priority regardless? The search was done 2 years prior was more the point I was making in that. Good points…. So my follow up question to you would be this? Why did they waste so many resources on kids IF it was that obvious? Seems pretty dumb.
Instead of trying to get Ellis Robinson from 2X champ, why aren’t we on Jamari Howard?
Collin Simmons in UTs backyard, why wasn’t Dylan Stephenson called?
We saw this last cycle with Stanquan Clark. We’ve seen this happen with Zay Flowers & multiple others in past. If you’re
