I remember when we signed that class people were saying it could be one of the greatest recruiting classes ever assembled.

What a great feeling is our teams of rings I witnessed would TRASH BAMA and DOGS even if. they put an all star team together it would not matter .

It just seems like for almost 20 years now we can’t sustain anything. Whether it be winning, recruiting, whatever. We get suckered into these brief flashes of excitement and things slowly start sliding downhill again. With recruiting, it’s like we’re always stuck in this never ending cycle of, “Can’t win without the elite recruits, but can’t get the elite recruits because we don’t win.” The cycle repeats itself over and over again.

@SWFLHurricane has a point. It was also a bit of an unbalanced class as far as position. It's like how FSU is recruiting currently.

Does anyone want to bring up the fact that maybe aside from a select few coaches (Mario field mirabal) that our coaches aren’t good recruiters?

Dawson-history of good recruiting?
Guidry-same question
Nicholson ?
Taylor just became a full time coach (negative recruiting)
Big Joe doesn’t seem like a trail dog
Kevin beard was at Toledo
Harris is green

Don’t get me wrong there’s potential here but we got young guys who maybe don’t have a big time rep and might be green. Don’t kid yourselves this isn’t a savage recruiting staff. We sold the dream last year as all first year staffs do. We got coordinators from the G5. Guidry had some off field history as well. Our staff has a lot of negative recruiting potential.

And speaking of negative recruiting let’s list the ammo:
Off campus stadium
Ruiz “top booster” in legal trouble?
NIL taking a hit as a result?
5-7
Mario doesn’t like offense
Green staff members
5-7

This is all easy pickings for other teams. We made it easy. Not saying everything is true cause it ain’t. But truth doesn’t matter

Brother who is Auburns WR coach? Is he somehow better than Alabama coaches? The 5 star who flipped from Bama to Auburn literally said "hugh freeze is better at developing WR's than the University of Alabama" and everyone laughed at him. Everyone knows and has told you overpaying NIL has been the main issue.

The second point you made about negative recruiting is true along with the overpaying. Position coaches are not the reason why we are recruiting badly. We have been told we have been outbid on Franklin, Simmons, Ahfua,

Stewart is staying in USC because of Beamers connection with DMV, Justin Scott because his mom wants him close by, Kendall Jackson UF legacy he was never coming here. Stone is a fight with his hometown team of Oklahoma. Jayden Jackson is following Stone. We did not miss due to coaches on any of these.

Literally none of these are the coaches fault. The only coach who we seem to actually have affected recruiting is CB with Addae who hasn't even remotely sniffed anyone with a pulse this year.

Kevin Beard had a good recruiting class at wr before Richt didn’t retain that staff and has recieved a commitment from a 5 star WR since he was hired. I think he will be more than okay.
