2025 DJ Pickett 5* CB from Zephyrhills Commits to LSU

Here's the thing though which is crazy to say but Corey Raymond is not good anymore and LSU secondary has shown it for some years now so if this is to get recruits fine just be clear of his on field results
Well o also notice they don’t get to the qb like in the past . A db can’t cover all day , that’s my issue with our dcord . We play man almost every time without bringing people at the qb enough .Fsu example , we should have been blitzing that one read qb a lot more

Hopefully Miami does a better job in the portal for a CB. Very tough position to find in the portal and it will cost a lot but hopefully they have been back channeling for awhile already.

i think this year has a much better qb and db class than 26, wr is probably slightly better. Oline and dline i think 26 is better. Only time will tell tho
It’s gonna be interesting to see next years team. There will be no Cam Ward saving the day and the schedule is tougher. So recruiting and portal will be key. For now I’m enjoying this run. I trust this staff to recruit.

Been saying this for a long time. Pickett will be a hard pull because of Raymond. Surprisingly Hanks looks more promising. But these are really really difficult recruitments because of relationships.

Regardless of outcomes here, we need to hit the portal aggressively. I like our DB class a lot. But we need multiple more proven guys in that room.

I wouldn't say bad.but very average is fair. Just like t-rob. Hence why cis wants Mario to hire him. Apparently we should have a DB room staff made up of t-rob,Raymond,DVD & the bartender. We'd have a room full of 5 star flops.
I understand how a coach that was good at recruiting might not be later (not relating to kids anymore, not up for the grind of recruiting any longer, etc), but curious how a DB coach becomes bad/average in coaching if they were good before? Not questioning that are average now, but are techniques changing and they aren't keeping up? Is there film study that they should be doing of opponents that they aren't?

Note that I ask this as someone who never played organized football so forgive me if it is obvious to those that have.
