So chise since you know that's what we're missing what makes them a hammer? I'm curious cause I've known ed o **** near since I was born. Please help me understand what we're missing... by the way what you're trying to say is completely wrong. It's just people relate in different ways. Dugans is a better recruiter than any of the people you mentioned & so is richt. He just is straight up & always applies his morals.

We don't agree on much, but if you're arguing those dudes I listed aren't elite recruiters you're just being a contrarian.

Rick loved Garner because he was his hammer. He overpaid him for a long time and held onto him as hard as he could before he got stolen from him.

Ed O is universally known as an absolute animal in the recruiting game. Rick Neuheisel tells stories about facing that dude on the journey and knowing how relentless he was and how he'd camp out in front of recruits' houses.

You're going to argue Dugans is on their level? Based on what? Dameyune Craig got Jameis out of Alabama to FSU. What has Dugans ever done in his career even remotely close to that? Dugans was losing dudes left and right at the end of the last cycle.

Nope.I'm not arguing that at all. My point is elite is elite & when they go against each other which happens every year it no longer becomes about the sale it becomes preference & visions, core beliefs. It's a kid & his support system that ultimately make the call & the staff knowing the kids you're after are just that into you. Lastly not to shatter any misconceptions here but you're giving people credit for other people's money. You're basically going with a unicorn. Ed is definitely a beast because he is very driven. He's very intense & if you have a drive like him he relates to you in yours in a very unique way. He's like an uncle basically. Far as Craig goes all he's ever done is hide a paper trail and deliver a check. If he's so great why has he done nothing else?

You're arguing just to argue. There are great recruiters and not so great recruiters. There's no way around that fact. Orgeron is a phenomenal recruiter for whatever reasons.

Craig has done plenty aside from Jameis. So now FSU has more paper than Alabama? That's why Craig got Jameis?

It's not. Matter of who has more.that's not even debatable. It's who offers more & that was fspew as well as a promise to start immediately where Alabama didn't offer either. Feel free to look at all his other recruiting success stories. Plenty of time at Auburn & not a single signature recruit. Plenty of time at fspew. Other than jamies who else? This is pointless though so I'm going to sleep. While I see other people's Merritt no one else is able to register it's a flawed argument. Recruiting is a dirty game,it's the lifeblood of college football everywhere. But what truly separates one from another is results on the field & cash off of it.

You're joking about Craig only getting Jameis right? You putting on a clown show on here lately, big fella. Here's some other mostly 4 and 5 star guys Craig nabbed:
Jameis Winston
Chris Casher
Tre' Williams
Nate Craig-Myers

Now your just looking for anybody he's recruited rather than if any of them were actually good. Since results is all that matters when Craig calls my nephew he just swipes ignore... what kind of hammer is that. PREFERENCE

I don't know about your nephew, but to argue Craig's recruiting prowess is crazy. The man is known as one of the best recruiters in the nation, and he **** sure isn't being paid over 500k because he's a great WR coach.

I remember him from the Panthers (he was awful). Didn't realise he'd turned into a killer recruiter.

Lol. Yeah he wasn't an NFL caliber QB. Was actually a pretty good college QB though. Definitely an elite recruiter. Highest paid WR coach in college football and if he's not retained by the new LSU coach his phone will be ringing more than it already is.

Dee and UM can't even close his legacy nephew, and he's throwing shade at Craig, who makes $500k strictly because of his genius in recruiting.

Close the **** thread man

When new DJ news pops up and people start a new thread so the proper topic can be discussed, people are gonna complain and ask why it couldn't just be posted on this thread....smh

There is no more news. DJ tweeted what he is going to do last week. Accept it and move on. Maybe we have a small chance IF we get his last visit but that ship has probably sailed unfortunately.

Agree with Brock. I keep thinking there is a new development with DJ and instead it's still the ongoing debate of whether Dameyune Craig is an elite recruiter. Which isn't a debate because he is, the proof is in the pudding. The man got Jameis who led them a NC and pretty much gets who he targets. Not sure about your definition of elite but I'd take him tomorrow and I like Dugans.

I'm quite aware of the process but you're not describing Craig at all in any capacity. #1 he's not a wr coach he's a qb coach. #2 that's not his main capacity at all. His main capacity is he's something called the recruiting coordinator. Are you aware of what that is? Another words him & the position coaches compile a list of recruits they are interested in. He goes through that list & decides if he likes them then he Said a formality 99% of the time presents them to the HC for him to sign off. Majority of hc don't even look over they just approve. Most don't have time to review all that. So you see actually it's all on him. That's why recruiting coordinators make the big bucks not cause they coach a position as well. Thanks for schooling me though...

No. Richt & family called us while he was doing his thanksgiving prayer & cutting the turkey. Dugans is his lead recruiter & he talks to him & richt everyday. Loves them. We're just not gonna committ till June or July next year after he's taken his rounds.

Craig is a WR coach. He was the QB coach at FSU. He coached wide receivers at Auburn and he does the same at LSU.

Btw, who's your nephew?

Thanks for trying to school me, but you might want to get your facts straight first prior to taking a condescending approach. Craig is absolutely the WR coach at LSU.

And LOL if you think a recruiting coordinator acts independently from the HC and is in charge of who gets recruited. You must know some weak *** HCs if they allow the recruiting coordinator to decide who gets offers.

According to Google he was the qb coach at Auburn & fspew. Don't know what he does at lsu cause as I've said my nephew ignores him. You always have a way of taking people's words & twisting them... you should work on that. Find happiness. A recruiting coordinator most definitely compiles a list with other staff of kids they like. He reviews them before he brings it to the HC for ultimate approval which is usually a formality because the HC has already gave guidelines towards what he's looking for. But you dead right. I don't know what I'm thinking about. Yall be easy.
