Toney is good French idc about tbh never did. Stubbs I do like a lot DJ I didn’t care about and Nix I didn’t care about. The class has been underwhelming to me for winning as much as we have.

The HS class in general this year is underwhelming. Honestly, I think Hanks could be the best of them all. Pickett is not that Jeremiah smith or Dylan Stewart level talent to me but he can be special. I know 3 people who saw Stubbs in person and told me hes not the goods based on what they saw so I trust them.

So why not go after another safety that is the goods? There has to be someone OOS that’s nice

I’m not saying you gotta be pumping sunshine and koolaid but sheesh. I **** sure know it’s other teams fans that would NEVER talk about the home team like that. Even if they “deserved” it or not.


I don’t like how the season ended, it was a nightmare, but we DESERVE all the good. We beat our in-state rivals and these kids still not rocking with us? Yeah, we need to be critical of Mario, but these kids making choices that are, to me, crazy. I see open positions or at least the possibility of them. I want the dawgs who see the opportunity and want to seize it. Recruiting it tough and it’s gon be some ups and downs, but I wanna see where we shake out once it’s done! Go Canes

Cribby was one of them who wasnt impressed with Stubbs. I am not going to be "that guy" and say im not a little upset we lost him..but this isnt a "Kenny Phillips" level safety prospect that is ready to go Day 1 right out the gate. And for a big NIL package..he better be that. And if the staff thinks hes not, im glad they didnt try to overspend for him only to "re-evaluate" him after his freshmen year like they allegedly did Jayden Wayne. I didnt like how that played out and hopefully we avoid those situations moving forward.

Oh okay. I stand corrected. I thought we wanted to re-negotiate him down and instead of taking the paycut he dipped back home.
 
You know why Stubbs took the shot at Mario in that interview?Because Mario wouldnt overspend on him.
Mario upped the offer to keep toney so don't think he won't spend. I guarantee you even if we dont get them, Pickett and Hanks are getting offers on par with any other school.

it was a money issue. I never got the full scoop. Kelly was a straight up him demanding more money.
TVD held us hostage two offseasons. can't run a program like that when we arent operating like bama and uga have.

The prevailing narrative on this board a year ago at this time was that FSU's portal-heavy strategy would backfire on them because you can't build a culture that way and it isn't sustainable.

Now that we appear to be on the verge of signing a class that's alarmingly worse than anyone would've ever thought imaginable following Cristobal's third full year here, some want to completely shift their stance and downplay the importance of HS recruiting in favor of a portal-heavy approach.

An elite recruiter coming off a 10-win season with the #1-ranked offense in the country and a reputation for building strong OL's would be able to successfully counter the negative pitch from rival schools that we're going to regress back to what we were in Mario's first two years at Miami without Ward.

When concerns were raised about how this class was shaping up in recent months, most pushed back with dismissive replies that assumed we'd pull off late flips again. Never thought I'd see so many fans shifting their stance on the importance of HS recruiting at the 11th hour before ESD with a coach whose greatest strength is his ability to recruit.

The next 24 hours or so will be very interesting to observe.

I really think you are being hard on Mario. He was a different coach all season. Going for it on 4th down deep in our territory multiple times. Sure, kicking that field goal wasn't the smartest move, but I hardly think he was a gameday liability when you look at the season in totality.

Mario has shown on national television, multiple times, that he can't coach, his teams are undisciplined, and underachievers. The eye test says it all. The word is out. He ****ed this up big time. He might be the worst hire in the past 20 years.

Brother, you are sounding like a beta male that fell in love with a stripper. Tell yourself whatever you want to make yourself feel better. The truth is that we are getting all our recruits stolen because Mario ****ed it up. On the field and off. Now none of these recruits are any good? You wouldn't take Stubbs back if he wanted in?

No. if we dont get Pickett, Alford, and a few others those are losses. I am also not happy the amount of time they spent on the ben hanks Vernell brown pipe dreams. I dont think Dallas Wilson is realistic either. Those are things I'll ***** about tomorrow. Stubbs I dont really care tbh.
