Injuries and the spring performance of young players will dictate what we do in the next portal cycle.

I’m watching the young DE battle closely. Malik Bryant, Cole McConathy, Armondo Blount, Marquise Lightfoot, Booker Pickett, Elias Rudolph, Hayden Lowe and Herbert Scroggins are all in the mix. A lot will depend on what the new DC likes to do on the edges.

Ideally, our young pass rushers develop and we don’t have to spend too much elsewhere. There is a lot of highly recruited talent in the building.

DL recruits playing up to expectation will be a huge determinant of Mario’s success. We’ve recruited well there, need to capitalize as it’s an expensive and hard position to fix via portal.

So it’s all your opinion nothing substantial. The main point is their QB room is green as **** and it was lead to presume it was good and I don’t see it

You could ask 10 of 10 recruiting experts or coaches who they would pick to QB their team, Angeli or Carr or Emory Williams. Zero of 10 are picking Emory.

OL is getting a little too much credit as well

Bell is a work in progress and no one stepped up at LG last year. Sure guys like McCoy, Kinsler, Bell etc might step up and we could have an elite line but for right now there’s a lot of questions for people to just be like “OL will save us”

TBD, they have 3 QBs behind Leonard all who are better than Emory. I still think they like us will hit the portal if it makes sense. They will be loaded at LB, DE, DB, but need to add a portal DT. On offense, their backs will be tops in the country, pass catchers pretty good, and OL very good. QB hard to say

Hopefully McCoy and Bell give us that! Also, we need to hit on some big time tackles this year cuz Cici is probably gone after 25' will Samson stay?, will kinsler finally pop this year?...etc

Agreed as well. We’ve taken a lot of projects since that 2023 class.

But same time I think Miami will always be a great landing spot for any OL in the portal as well

I’d like to see Kinsler step up and take a guard spot this year he was a mauler in high school

Nothing is a given, but now, I don't go into the ND game just hoping to keep it close. All things being equal, I expect us to win at home in a close one. Remember, we will have a Heatherman coached D, Hard Rock will be packed and loud and no matter how talented Angelli is, he wasn't the starter this year and will have the team resting on his shoulders.

We (hopefully) beat ND and start off the 25' campaign with high hopes and lots of lies!

Man I know. I don’t know who I hate more. I hate osu because of the natty fraud and I hate nd because they are nd. I do like Marcus Freeman though and if OSU loses, Day is in trouble I think so…

It is! But, we caught lightning in a bottle that year with a good defense, a game manager at QB, and there QB was cheeks! They were ahead of us on the rebuild they've had 1 coaching change since then we've had 3 Larry Scott, Mandy Diaz , and now Mario!!

I’ll take ND over OSU. We host the reigning national champs to start the season. ND remains firm they don’t want/need a spot in the B1G and the sec/B1G don’t get a title.
