If D$ says thats bad weight..I can't wait to see what the rest of the team looks like :quag:

Really? It has Jenkins at 215 and Bush at 201..not sure if it was updated..

Not all of that is good weight for Jenkins.

Yeah look at this fat lard

But, I do agree with DMoney, Bush does appear to be the stronger of the 2 (or at least plays the more physical brand of football). Jenkins is more of the Free Safety

Lol, didn't mean it like that obviously. I've seen both around recently and Deon is just more physically imposing if you stand next to both. Jenkins is more "big boned" I would say.

I for one cant friggin wait to see Reyshawn Jenkins this year. Other than the 99 yard breakdown, he looked plainly like our best player on D vs Duke, which is impressive as he clearly had no idea where he was supposed to be. I think the confidence of going into the season as the dude will be a big boost. Kid just needs reps, aside from Deon, he is our best Safety since Kenny Phillips IMO and it isn't even close.

Hard to believe the knock on Deon in high school was he shied away from contact

Yep. A lot of people said he shied away from contact and wasnt physical enough for safety.

Which is exactly why I don't trust all the fake gurus out there who hear one nincompoop say something about a recruit and just parrot it until it becomes internet reality. There's NOTHING soft about that dude. You don't transform overnight from soft to a complete villain obsessed with blowing people up.

Don't forget that he was also going to be the first CFB player allowed to play with a seeing eye dog due to his terrible vision. And of course that dog was going to be purchased with booster money because his family was on the take. SMH. As I said when he committed, lots of sorry asses owed this kid and his family an apology. This kid IS the University of Miami.

I share your excitement for Rayshawn. He had like 3 PBUs in just the Duke game and they were all impressive. In the playing time he got last year you can just see the fluidity with how he moves out there and the ground he is able to cover from the safety position. I'm really excited about this safety duo for the next 2-3 years

Deon = Duke on defense

Yeah Duke's recruitment is a one in a million type but that's over now. I know Stephen Morris is the unquestioned leader of this team but in the next few years, when we are looking at this team back in the national spotlight, I have a feeling Duke and Deon are going to be the ones we point to. Not going out on a huge limb of course, but Deon is a future All American.

I am hoping that Bush and Jenkins emerge from fall practice as our starting safeties. These two appear to have the athletic ability of some of our great safeties of the past. These two along with just about everyone else on D need to take that next step this year and become consistent playmakers.
