I think our D was showing improvement until Bush went down vs FSU, missed the second half of that game and the rest of the year. He made that big a difference in his short time on the field.

good for the kid learning to do homework early, hopefully the d backs can keep the WR covered for another step

So then we are only 3 steps from sacking the qb instead of 4

who is that in your avi?

That was when AG let our linemen try to field punts in the spring. I'm not sure, but I think I remember Luther Robinson really blowing it. Maybe it was him.

Good point. Bush did play in last game though.

He played against VT too, remember the monstrous hit he had? Believe it knocked him out of the game as well.

ROFLMAO @ whoever said bull**** call after the ref thru the flag

ROFLMAO @ the commentator "coleman didnt catch a lot of mahi mahi but he did just catch a big hit from Deon Bush"

That hit is what made me think that Bush could be the Reed-type of leader we need. They told him he had to come out and he was CRUSHED. He was hollering and crying....all he wanted was to play. That type of passion, along with his ability, is what we have been missing for a LONG time. There is something to be said for being a vocal leader like Glenn Cook, and then another thing entirely for a vocal leader that goes out there and gets it done.

Hard to believe the knock on Deon in high school was he shied away from contact

Yep. A lot of people said he shied away from contact and wasnt physical enough for safety.

Which is exactly why I don't trust all the fake gurus out there who hear one nincompoop say something about a recruit and just parrot it until it becomes internet reality. There's NOTHING soft about that dude. You don't transform overnight from soft to a complete villain obsessed with blowing people up.

i saw him play his senior year and it is true that he did avoid contact, perhaps with an eye towards self-preservation in order to play at the next level. he had an offer IIRC by the end of his junior year and he was not going anywhere but the University of Miami.

There were even more "insiders" saying Jenkins was a wasted scholarship. I know its early but he picked up the position awfully quickly.

I suppose its easier to make your BS judgements when you are up against a coach who watches YouTube highlights. It must be a bummer that our staff runs all these camps and gets to see them up close and personal, sometimes several times.

Yeah very weird. You watch those one on ones where he is up against Coley and those other guys, and Bush is the most physical CB on those films. Really seemed like he enjoyed playing up in their faces.

LULZ at the fake gurus if they were ripping the Jenkins signing. That dude's got major talent and is going to be really good for us.

Exactly what I was going to say. Didn't look at all timid in any of those videos.
