Denzel Perryman's stats against FSU

Neither does your opinion on what makes a good season for a LB then, if we are using the same ridiculous rationale! Not only he is leading in stats but he is always near or on the ball along with Green. They have been a proven force in the run game this entire season, but arguing is futile now.
Ray Lewis racked up 100+ tackles his 2nd to last season when he had sand in his shoes.

Tackles. Mean. Nothing.

Whatever you say man.

Denzel's been a disappointment. My opinion and I'm sticking to it.

If it's unpopular, oh well. Agree to disagree.

Denzels been a disappointment..... yet he's a semifinalist Butkus Award nominee, and is the only LB in the ACC on the list.

Good job NY for your rational p.o.v.

He is doing what he can, with what he has around him (staff included). Seriously needs to come back for senior season. These young bucks are going to need this cat badly, leading that defense. Golden, has been great in a lot of aspect during his tenure. He needs to find a way to get DP to buy into next season.

I agree.

Unless he is lights out the next 5+ games, I think he should stay. He is not guaranteed to be a 1/2nd round player at this point.

This is where big Al has to show, he can also sell his vision to guys that can leave early.

I don't know DP52, I just know that he is a true junior. I don't know much about his desires to stay at Miami versus his need/want to leave and enter the draft.

It is of MO, that he will measure under 6 feet at the combine.

It is of MO, that his strength numbers will be excellent but his speed will be in the 4.6-4.65 range.

It is of MO, that he is not a first round pick based on his tenure so far.

It is of MO, that he would be drafted at best in the later part of the 2nd round based on his tenure so far.

It is of MO, that he is likely to go in the 3rd round based on his tenure so far unless he runs sub 4.6.

Denzel Perryman would go to the NFL combine w/ muscles coming out of everywhere, after this year, and put up the best Bench numbers for a LB and run a lower- mid 4.5 forty. Dude is far from slow.

That alone w/ the season is having so far would make him a late 1st round round prospect.

His height would be the only negative against him that could make him slide out of the 1st.

regardless i hope he comes back.

Tackles mean absolutely nothing.

:ibisroflmao:

GTFOH Perryman is a LB, tackles are the most important stat to their position.

Perryman has never made a meaningless tackle to pad stats.

Most of his ****n tackles are SOLO.... WTF r u talking about?
ny is a ****** and pretty sure retarded. First he ***** on Duke, then sucks off Winston and Jimbo and now he's ****ting on arguably our best defensive player who puts it all on the line week in and week out and is a Butkus award semifinalist (the only ACC LB to be nominated).

I don't think DP gets drafted in the first or second round just because of height. He has everything else tho.. Golden is going to have a tough sell here cause, unless AG has some magic beans that will make DP 6'2 at least, there's nothing DP can really improve on that is going to change his draft ranking dramatically. Even if he returns for his senior season and balls out, there will still be concerns about his height.

Also, some of you guys really need to watch the games again and see how teams are keying in on DP. Even on the play against WF when DP picked the RB out and slammed him into the grass... WF sent two blockers his way and the play was an option to the strong side! He made the tackle 8 yards downfield cause he had to fight through blocks.

DP is our best defensive player and he's having a great season. He's a butkus award semifinalist and opposing coaches respect him enough to ensure he's blocked on most plays. Yet, some of our 'fans' imply he's playing like a JAG. It sad cause in another thread, our 'fans' are giving props to LaMarcus Joyner, a **** good player but a home nonetheless! I pray we hang 60 on VT so this place can start looking like a canes board again...

OP is biggest homer I've seen on this site so far

is homer a bad thing?.... i dont feel like it's a diss but is it suppose to be?

It means you dont give anyone who doesnt wear a cane uniform a fair chance. Put Orange Jersey on and name player bob snow and hes the next ed reed, you cant take that person serious because they dont look at anything fair. It means its like talking to a child that likes red and saying which crayon is the best he will always say red even if the other colors are just as great. Its finding that child that can like them all and know that there all the same..................my bad I rambled too much and confused myself. U get it though

ummmm NO that's not what it means.

it means that i'm not scared to say a very good player like Denzel Perryman could be a 1st round pick.

I think he can be but he wont, if he goes to the right team he can be a beast. It isnt his fault he doesnt have a beast DT to help him, but someone will get a steal.

11 Tackles (8 solo, 3 assist) 1 TFL BEAST

he's not great in coverage, most LBs arent, but he definitely excels at everything else you expect from a top LB.

Semifinalist Butkus Award nominee is making a strong push to be a finalist.
