defense depth chart post scrimmage

All I am saying is 8 months ago this team lost to bc. Fact there are kids in 2 deep that were in hs a few months ago. All that said 8 wins is what I think also, would not be surprised at 6
I just think the turnover is good ,but it is not good when you have so many freshmen on 2 deep at one time. Not that the options were better last year

Told Y'all McGee would be starting.. LOL

It's funny how folks especially our fans love players on the team. Glad to see Golden is maximizing the talent that is on the roster. I will never understand that.

You mind explaining what you're trying to say here? I keep on trying to read it and I just can't figure it out. Are we not supposed to love players on our team? Are we not supposed to understand that Golden is possibly maximizing the talent we have? I'm confused.

One of the things Im really looking forward to seeing Ivery and the rest of the young DTs can do this year

Impressive to see one of the freshman DTs starting already

Lol we are over 1 week in to practice. This depth chart will change a few more times. So to say "nanny nanny boo boo I told u" at this point makes you look pestilent.

So you are saying we win more than 8 games. Because I say no way. If do crown golden

Nope. I'm commenting on your comment about frosh in the 2-deep and on your pessimism for the BC game. 8 wins would be an increase over last year, and I think it's a reasonable prediction. If you're so worried about what we lost and frosh in the 2-deep, I'd think you'd be predicting 6 or fewer wins, in any case, since that's where we left off last year.

My view is 8 is a good guess, 9 is possible, 7 is possible.

Ethnic, is this really you?

Unfortunately I'd much rather see Porter starting. Porter in my mind is our best chance at a really good dt due to his talent and experience. If he can't start over these guys he's probably not that good at this p

Unfortunately I'd much rather see Porter starting. Porter in my mind is our best chance at a really good dt due to his talent and experience. If he can't start over these guys he's probably not that good at this point. I can't recall a freshman DT we've had recently who was really good and not just good for a freshman.

Porter was almost unstoppable when he weighed closer to 320. I just hope he hasn't lost some strength with the weight loss.

Hopefully with him it really is a motivational ploy because he gets off the ball better than any DT we've had in a long time.

I'm lost as well.

Wow at freshmen in 2 deep. Not a good sign IMO

I disagree. I think it's good for a team that was 6-6

Yea I guess your right. 8 months ago this same team minus some our most productive players lost to the team we play in 3 weeks. I expect to win.but I do not expect anymore than 8 for the season, if so crown golden

This is a loser's mindset, IMO. In CFB, 25% of your team (and a much bigger percent of your impact players) turns over every year. That's normal. When your younger guys are more talented and your older guys aren't so good, you're going to see more younger guys showing up in the 2-deep. That's normal. UM wasn't very good last year, and we brought in 32 new kids, so it absolutely figures that some will be in the 2-deep. Whether we're good enough to beat BC will be a function of how the kids developed in the off-season, through spring practice and S&C, and fall camp, and how the staff prepares them and game-plans. But complaining that we'll be worse because we lost a bunch of kids strikes me as weak when we weren't good with those kids.

That sounds good but your reaching bruh... History proves you wrong time and time again. When you have this many freshman in the 2 deep it is not a good sign.. Lets hope it changes next week.. You cant play this many 18 year olds against grown as 21-22 year olds who have been playing college ball for 3 -4 years and expect to win more than you lose..we go 5-7 at best

This depth chart means slightly more than the first depth chart of spring practice

We're not going to be starting Thurston Armbrister & Dequan Ivery against BC

I'm trying not to look ahead cause I got big hopes for 2012 but hot damm the 2013 defense is going to be nasty.

Unless Porter is banged up, there's no way he isn't the best DT.

Golden says he wants a DT step up and be a dominant player, and I think it's clear he's talking about Porter.
