Honestly, yeah. It’s rarely ever actually the first name or 2 that we hear. In this instance though we had it on good authority that he interviewed and we were looking to move quicker than we’d expect. Nakos isn’t some bum either and is pretty legit at this. We’ll see what’s next.

My only worry is how well he’d do as a play caller. Built a solid DL in Philly, and from what I can remember he was a good recruiter but that was so long ago. I wouldn’t hate it, but I wouldn’t love it. Plus the waiting part would suck. If Philly goes deep into the playoffs we could be without a DC for a minute.

I was wondering the same thing. I’d say having Pete Carroll and Vic Fangio wanting you around is a good endorsement. I would like this move better if we weren’t coming off the type of year that our defense just had. We need a proven guy imo.
